Obama back dooring Second Amendment

Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

"A bill to prohibit civil liability actions from being brought or continued against manufacturers, distributors, dealers, or importers of firearms or ammunition for damages, injunctive or other relief resulting from the misuse of their products by others. "

Interesting strategy. You allow people to sue gun manufacturers, even if their products are MISUSED. Sue them out of existence and no more new guns will be sold in this country. But he supports the Second Amendment....

This is the change you irresponsible morons wanted.

Maobama also voted to ban the sale of armor piercing ammunition. On the surface, this would appear to be reasonable. After all, hunters certainly don't need armor piercing bullets. However, the devil is in the details; The definition of armor piercing that was being used was any bullet that was capable of piercing the minimum level of body armor, which amounts to basically a heavy leather jacket. This would include just about every bullet from a .223 on up.

This snake says that he won't come for your guns, but the way he operates, he won't have to. He puts gun manufacturers out of business, and then takes away your bullets, making existing guns nothing more than clubs. But, he'll tell you that he supports the Second Amendment, and libs believe him.

How can you libs defend this?

Dang I should have bought stock in Winchester last week. Obama will be the best thing ever for the gun manufacturers. All these kooks stocking up on firearms will send their sales through the roof.

the muslim elect ought to know that the guns bought in stores are not the ones used in crimes.... it is his good solid voting base, the urban youth, who STEAL the gun, file off the serial number, trade it for drugs, or hold up liquor stores for cash to buy drugs.....

Armor piercing ammunition?

What about it?

badax- some will never see their hands when they're right in front of their faces...

I used to be a member of the NRA- and remember when most law enforcement were big NRA supporters--but then when they took the path of the radical right and began opposing even law enforcement proposed regulations- like banning assault rifles or banning armor piercing ammunition - they lost me and most law enforcement agencies...The same as what has happened to the Republican Party with its pandering to the extremist right as its "base"...They've lost much of their former law enforcement support....

I'm waiting.....

I don't know what you are waiting for.

It states clearly that the ban was not going to affect general use centerfire rifle cartridges. It was aimed at ammunition specifically designed and marketed as armor piercing.

Bull Sheet.

SEC. 3. ARMOR PIERCING AMMUNITION.
.......... ........
`(iii) a projectile that--

(I) may be used in a handgun; and

`(II) the Attorney General determines, pursuant to section 926(d), to be capable of penetrating body armor.'.
.......... ........
Body Armor Exemplar' means body armor that the Attorney General determines meets minimum standards for the protection of law enforcement officers.'.

For those that don't know anything about guns, almost any kind of ammunition used by hunters to hunt deer is capable of penetrating body armor. And almost every rifle round is also capable of being fired out of a handgun. For instance, the most popular hunting bullet (.30/30) can be shot out of a BFR .30/30 Winchester Revolver.
Given that Ted Kennedy named the .30-30 bullet (as well as the very common .223 and .308) in the introduction of this bill, it would be difficult to assume that Kennedy accidentally attempted to ban this bullet.

Now that you've been proved, shall we say, "misinformed", on the ammunition ban, do you want to try to defend back-door 'Bama's support of banning all semi-automatic guns?

If Mr. Obama was truthful, he would say that he supports your right to bear arms as long as it is a single-shot .22 rifle. Oooops, I guess that wouldn't be truthful either as he supports the manufacturer of ANY gun to be sued if some punk Democrat holds up a liquor store in S. Chicago.

And you gullible idiots voted for this snake....

Obama and Biden were big supporters of the UN Small Arms Treaty. The same treaty that Bush and Josh Bolton killed. That treaty OUTLAWS THE PRIVATE OWNERSHIP OF ALL SMALL ARMS!

Badaxemoo, do you want to try again or do your realize that you're out of bullets and have elected a radical anti-gun Nazi?

Look, it says it right there in the site I provided for you. The intent of the law would not be to ban rifle ammunition. This issue clearly would have been worked out in the application of the law. If you can't understand that, then, like many hardcore NRA ideologues, you just don't have any interest in any kind of reasonable firearms legislation.

I don't know of many bad guys stuffing Thompson Contenders in their shorts and robbing banks anyway.

The point is that handgun rounds designed to pierce body armor out to be banned. I think most reasonable people agree on this, unless you are in the militia crowd and are worried that kevlar wearing U.N. forces are going to descend from black helicopters onto your little rural fiefdom.

I wore Kevlar for seven years and although it was absolutely miserable stuff when it was hot and humid out, it gave me some peace of mind that if I got into a scrap, I had a better chance of going home to my wife.
