WASHINGTON - D.C. fire officials say the Eisenhower Executive Office Building near the White House was evacuated for about 30 minutes because of a back up of smoke from a fireplace.
Firefighters were called to the building on 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue around 1 p.m. Saturday.

D.C. fire spokesman Alan Etter says officials suspect that there was an obstruction in a chimney, which caused light smoke to build up on the building's fourth floor. He says there was a fire in a second-floor fireplace.

Etter says the Secret Service evacuated the building as a precaution. He says there were a handful of people inside. He says firefighters put out the fire in the fireplace, and that there was no damage to the building, which houses many White House staff offices.

Bush could cut brush, but he couldn't run a country.

I'll take Obama.

Wasn't it Bush that stopped the terrorist attacks on American soil? :? :?

And go ahead take Obama, take him all the way back to Kenya to visit his birth place. I hear it is a tourist attraction with a monument and all. They say you can't miss it, it's just down the road from his Grandma's house. But don't bother stopping to visit her as the Kenyan government has muzzled her. Next stop, on to Indonesia to he's childhood stomping grounds, they say the Muslim school he attended as a citizen of Indonesia is another must see. Last stop Hawaii and leave him there if he wants to grow Orchids. Then maybe the Oval Office thermostat can be turn back down to where he figures everyone elses should be set at. Please by all means take him

I'm starting to think that Saskatchewan must be the Alabama of Canada.
