Have your guns, enjoy your guns and do with them whatever it is you do with them.....It is your right to them.....there is no sense arguing about it ....All I can say is this.....I feel bad that you all live in a world where you so afraid of eachother that you have to hide guns just to protect yourselfs from harm...I really do feel sad for people living in fear of eachother to the point of arming themselves...It should not have to be that way...Whats wrong with people today?

People like you who from some other country trying to dictate what is good for the people in MY country!
That and others who try to take my GOD and founding fathers given rights!!
Like it or not the right to carry CONCEALED or otherwise is here and I for one intend to carry all the way to my grave.
Heck were you in the same room as I and some lowlife decided to try and end our lives I would feel a whole lot safer knowing I had a weapon to protect us both!
At that point I am sure you would be very glad that the weapon at my side was available to protect you and be used by some one compitent enough to use it.
Which would you chose if that was the scenero, me "packing" or you asking why can't we all just get along??
Personally I will take my chances with my weapon of choice on that day!!
I have a feeling so would you after it was all said and done!!!!

CCRKBA SAYS STIMULUS CHECKS SHOULD BE SPENT ON NEW GUNS, AMMO
For Immediate Release: April 10, 2008

BELLEVUE, WA – Americans should “let the government buy your next gun” by spending part, or all of their economic stimulus checks on a new firearm, ammunition or shooting accessory, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

Economic stimulus checks will be going out in the mail this spring as an incentive for American citizens to go shopping to help boost the nation’s sagging economy. CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb thinks it would be a boon to America’s firearms industry for that money to be spent on pursuits guaranteed by the Second Amendment, while also providing jobs and paychecks, and creating new jobs for people in the industry.

“This is our money, anyway,” Gottlieb said of the stimulus checks. “If we weren’t paying it in taxes to begin with, it would still be in our bank accounts and wallets, and we would already be spending that cash on a new rifle or shotgun, perhaps a new handgun and ammunition, shooting accessories and other equipment.

“Set some cash aside to buy gasoline for a trip to the range,” he added, “and don’t forget that with every firearm and ammunition purchase, Americans contribute to the Pittman-Robertson federal excise tax program that supports state wildlife agency programs, including hunter education. Not only will these purchases provide a much-needed boost to the gun industry, they allow gun owners an opportunity to take more than just a symbolic swipe at anti-gunners and anti-hunting groups.”

Gottlieb also suggested that firearms retailers consider offering special discounts to customers who use their stimulus checks in their stores.

“These checks should help pay for a lot of new guns and gear,” he said. “We think there are few better ways to celebrate our fundamental right to keep and bear arms than to spend your money where it matters the most: At your local gun shop or sporting goods store.”

Why only 9 rounds you ask?
She left 1 in the chamber while she slammed in another clip just in case she needed to fire another round!!!!

I am to paranoid to have On Star, I may want to take my gun and shoot someone some day and then on star could track my every move
I'm paranoid about On star for a kinda the same reason...not going to kill anyone with a gun,but I'm really creeped out by the idea someone can track your every move.

I don't have OnStar...but I do have all that funky GPS Navigation...man, I do love that for sure.

But it's got a sexy woman's voice telling you to ' turn right', or ' turn left'...... "you have reached your destination"

I told the dealer I wanted Sam Elliott or Tom Selleck's voice instead of some chick talking to me. He just looked at me and walked off!!!

Mine keeps telling me to take the next legal u-turn.. and it sure gets confused when I drive across a field..    but it beats having to ask directions..

I don't mean to jump in and attack you in the middle of your fight.. but felt you position needed a response..

NoNothing
maybe what you should be more concerned with is punishing these bastards that attack others so they never get out of jail.....why not do something for your family and make your community safe and make moves to rid society of those people that you carry around a gun for.....

since the thread was originally about Obama and how he will not stand up for law abiding citizens rights to carry a weapon, and to inform others so they can vote wisely... I looked at how well Obama might do just what you wanted.. for US to elect leaders that would make our country safer..

and while I would like our government to lock up criminals and throw away the key... so I could say I only have a gun to shoot cans and go hunting.. with Obama that doesn't appear likely to happen..

so what is Obama's stand on crime and punishment.. ???

In an October 2003 NAACP debate, Mr. Obama said he would "vote to abolish" mandatory minimum sentences.

Mr. Obama now says on his Web site, barackobama.com, that he would "immediately review sentences to see where we can be smarter on crime and reduce the ineffective warehousing"

Obama will also repeal the mandatory minimum sentence for first-time offenders convicted of possession of crack,

in other words he will make sure criminals get a break and spend less time in jail,.... while trying to infringe the law abiding citizen's Constitutional rights...

I have no problem with people owning rifles and using them for sporting. I am for people having the right to do this. It's as much a sport to some as rodeo, hockey or basketball.

I think their should be conditions on owning handguns and I doubt I will ever support carrying them concealed. I agree with fingerprinting for all guns. Running background checks. Making training mandatory. It's called being a responsible owner.

If you put conditions or restrictions on having a gun is it still a right?

and with the wording... "the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Wouldn't the conditional restrictions you place on gun ownership infringe on a person's constitutional rights?

A question you might ask yourself, if the government can place restrictions on the right to have and to bear arms, can the government also restrict free speech? the free press? the freedom of religion?

I might agree that a "concealed" weapon is a threat that makes you uncomfortable, but those who decide to allow this right to parish, might not be able to speak up when the next right is taken.. it might not happen in our generation, but over time the government and well meaning people will take away our rights.. at least for now "the right of the People" stands in their way...

I do believe knownothing would be a lot more safer with Kolan with the gun, he would be a lot less likely to die from Friendly fire.

But then again knownothing would die getting the chance to be right for once, proving his point that conceal carry is dangerous for those around the ones carrying weapons.

Nonothing...Please understand I'm not picking on you just stating a fact as I see it.

Its because of attitudes like yours towards guns, that our country sees only the criminals carrying concealed unregistered guns.A fact I'm not very proud of :?
