Obama Get Any Respect as President?

At BYU they are either mormons or football players  I don't think anyone would ever have confused Jim McMahon with a Mormon

I grew up around enough Muslims to know that most in the states are not a lot like the ones that you see buring US Flags and chanting death to America. I am also not niave enough to think those folks aren't around in this country either.. Of the ones we knew I would say 10% would have fallen into the rabid followers.. Some of the 90% I knew even ate pork at the local BK for breakfast.. They were muslim like a lot of Chirstians are christians..

I don't think OBL or any mullah really needs an excuse to hate or preach hate against any US President.. Whether he was once a practicing, believing muslim or not.. I think it would probably be the difference between 99 gallons of gas being dumped on a fire and 100..

This from the BYU undergraduate admission application:

"Members of the faculty, administration, staff, and student body at BYU–Idaho, BYU, BYU–Hawaii and the LDS Business College are selected and retained from among individuals who voluntarily live the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Observance of such is a specific condition of employment and admission. Those individuals who are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are also expected to maintain the same standards of conduct."

Read the last sentence.

I would imagine his step-father was a muslim. So what? The kid could have been 6-8 yrs old or 8-10 yrs old when he went to an Islamic school. Does that in itself make him Muslim? Is every student at Notre Dame a Catholic? Is every student at BYU a Morman? All at SMU Methodists? You don't think he will be elected. Fine. I don't think he will either but I'm not going to try to bad-mouth him either. You don't want to support him don't. He shouldn't even be a worry to you. However, it looks like you are going to try to convict him of something by rumor, inuendo and twisting of the truth.

You are totally missing the point I made. I am going to type real slow this time so you can get it.

It does not matter what I think or you think, it is what the Muslim world will think! I doubt a Christian President named Baraka Hussien Obama is going to demand much respect from any Muslim leaders. No matter if I thought he was a great man or leader I doubt the President of Iran, Pakistan, Syria or Egypt are going want to be having dinner and discussing problems in the region with a Christian named Baraka Hussien Obama.

Was that easier to understand?

I think that Obama would be so week on defense that it would be absolutely pathetic. At least we know that Hillary has a mean streak, get her in a bad mood and she might just nuke the shitt out of anywhere.

Hey, smart a$$, I understood your "point" the first time. I thought it had no merit and still don't. Since when do you give a rat's patooty what any Muslim thinks anyway? Since you can't say that he is a "converted" Christian, there is no basis for anything that you say.

Schnurrbart,

You should read some of Jimmy Mac's stories from when he was there.. As with all schools that I am aware of, sometimes being a special athlete means you get away with stuff that Joe student wouldn't.. Of course, sometimes being just a regular student means you can fly under the radar when you are off campus... And of course not all the student body there is Latter Day Saint... It was a Joke.

The basis for what I say is having an understanding of the tactics and truth smearing the Muslim Radicals have. They would bomb their own people just to say we did it. They believe any lie or death to themselves or their people is justified if it brings the end that they wish.

I can for see them using Obama and his Muslim past (and he does have MUSLIM past) to turn somewhat comparative Muslim nations against us.

You are right I do not really care what they think, but I am smart enough to know it is better for America to get somewhat the cooperation that we get with Nations like Pakistan, Turkey etc..... Than to have all of them turn on us because we have a Christian leader that they percieve as a apostate Muslim.

People talk about more than their religious convictions when sitting @ a State dinner or international event.

I'd say it's a safe bet that there are BIGGER topics than who was @ church, mosque or temple the other day!!

Sure they do! But the problem is when you talk about Jews, Christians and Muslims they are not all willing to sit down and have dinner or talk period.

That is the point, I will try to type real slow for you also! There is a good chance that many Muslim nations would not even be willing to have dinner with a Christian with a Muslim Name.

Why is it so hard for you Libs to admit something so simple? Is it so hard to believe that someone named Baraka Hussien Obama leading America as a professed Christian would have a long row to hoe?

Also someone named Lieberman would face that same challenge. These people are very prejudiced over their, why do you think we are fighting this war on terrorism, it all comes back to prejudice.

it all comes back to prejudice.

And if someone , YOU, can't loosen up their own prejudice it never ends!

It's got to start somewhere.

Stay on topic Kolan, Do YOU think leaders of Muslim Nations will have open dialogue with a Christian named Baraka Hussien Obama? Or Lieberman?

Simple yes or no answer, based on your vast knowledge of the Muslim faith do you think that either would be accepted?

You are too funny! You get so worked up when all I asked you is a simple question. I guess you do not like the answer to that question, because to answer it honestly would be to agree with me?
