Check this one out, I thought it was very interesting. This started in 1994 under the Clinton Administration.

http://iusbvision.wordpress.com/2008/09/30/obama-sued-citibank-under-cra-to-force-it-to-make-bad-loans/

I find it very interesting for a blog website.

Snopes says this is false, but Obama was a junior member of the 8 lawyer group working on the case. He did not file the suit himself.

I am the author of the IUSB Vision article above. If you read the snopes story is it refering to a seperate set of claims that my article does not make.

Thanks for the heads up on this so I added this to the article.

Some on the left are saying that SNOPES.com has debunked this story, this is not so. Snopes is talking about another story that makes a different claim about this same lawsuit. It does not dispute that this lawsuit was one of a series of lawsuits that were filed by ACORN to allege racism to lower credit standards. It does not dispute that all of the ACORN CRA lawsuits claimed redlining and racism. It does not dispute that at other times ACORN used intimidation tactics against bank managers to try and make them give high risk loans.

The audio was not messed with and the transcript is on Obama's web site.

The NY Post, Fox, Investors Business Daily, Human Events etc etc have verified the story.

If you had read the story carefully you would see I had already explained the redlining claims and all of it in the post. This is why it is important to read carefully first - THEN start typing. The order of those things IS important.

You are welcome, ranching and farming is VERY important work. I have all the respect in the world for you all.

Being at a university I have massive research resources at my fingertips. Any time you all have any question about what I write, feel free to ask. I dont mind being challenged because often that means I did not explain an aspect of the story well enough.

All the best,

By the way, feel free to look back a few months on the site, I FULLY source and explain every flip flop made from the primary campaign till now, often with youtube video as a kicker.

Vision,

This is the internet...

Ya' know what...I haven't even tried to check you out...don't even intend to. Hell, I haven't tried to research you one way or the other. That's the problem of the internet...folks can take it or leave it. At this point, I choose to leave it. You want a level playing field? Come off the internet...put your money where your mouth is...get into main stream media and let people know who you are...what your credentials are. Popping up on the political board of a cattle site! Puhleeze!

Translation - you didn't like what I had to say, and could not refute the verifiable evidence I linked to, so you attacked me and now you resent me for successfully defending my work.

Instead of attacking me, going over the evidence and dealing with it one way or another honestly is a good way to show some personal responsibility and maturity. I know my kids would expect nothing less of me.

Besides, I like cattle.

Hi all - I rephrased the first paragraph to make it more clear and less prone to misinterpretation.

Do you remember how we told you that the Democrats and groups associated with them leaned on banks and even sued to get them to make bad loans by abusing the Community Reinvestment Act (see HERE and HERE)? The abuse of this act by ACORN and officials like Janet Reno was a factor in causing the economic crisis. The harasment suits filed under this act were used to get banks to lower credit standards and hand out high risk loans. Fellow bloggers have dug up the lawsuit below while researching Obama’s legal career. It is a typical example of an ACORN harassment lawsuit.

In these lawsuits, ACORN makes a bogus claim of Redlining (denying poor people loans because of their ethnic heritage). They protest and get the local media to raise a big stink. This stink means that the bank faces thousands of people closing their accounts and get local politicians to lobby to stop the bank from doing some future business, expansions and mergers. If the bank goes to court, they will win, but the damage is already done because who is going to launch a big campaign to get the bank’s reputation back?

It is important to understand the nature of these lawsuits and what their purpose is. ACORN filed tons of these lawsuits and ALL of them allege racism.

Thanks for your objections to the story as it gave me the opportunity to improve it's clarity.

Translation...you are a well written, well spoken phony who is pandering to whatever group you perceive might give you legitimacy.

If, in some distant future, your claims prove to be verifiable, I will happily say, "Hey, my bad." But, sir, you are not the only one with access to university research and credentials, and your saying you have that access, and that access is true, is only that you are saying and claiming you do. Any student, grad student, or thwarted professor can say and claim the same.

Any time someone links to anything on my site, any time my words are quoted anywhere online I get a daily report from my web server.

As soon as I was quoted here you guys popped up on my radar. Ranchers are cool, Ronald Reagan was a Rancher, so I thought I would come and say hello. I get 2000-4000 hits per day. I dont come visit everyone, but the rancher thing hooked me.

I am a 30 something college student because I lost my career at a fortune 500 company due to bad government policy. So I am back at school getting new degrees and starting a new career. I hope to be a writer and I am authoring my first book.

Let me tell you guys something, most of you people here have better critical thinking skills than most liberal arts professors... if you all only knew how bad public education is today in the bigger cities and towns. It's pathetic.

Thank you so much for your input and insight. We have a few on here who are so liberal they can't see anything else. And they drip poison. And hate. And lies.

Obama is dangerous for America. He is muslim. He will greet them (muslims) into America with open arms. Fanatical muslims hate America. They want us dead. Our son just finished his 2nd tour in Iraq, he's had first hand experience with them. Maybe when he's 80 he'll talk about it.

I just don't understand why it is not understood that fanatical muslims want to kill AMERICANS?! They hate us for what we stand for (freedom and democracy)and what we believe in (Christianity). Ohhhh, man, don't get me started...........

I am not convinced that he is a Muslim, but I am very concerned about what he thinks his exposure to Christianity is.

Obama in his two books says that Rev. Wright and Rev Pfleger, are his spiritual guides. Both of them had Louis Farrakhan as a guest many times. Having watched the video's of these men at the pulpit it is clear that they do not preach or teach Christianity. They teach what is called Black Liberation Ideology and Theology, which is something akin to a near militant politic with a spiritual component.

Obama being half white and half black and moved from home to home as he grew up and being exposed to several religions as he grew up, shows all of the signs of someone with an identity crisis. I dont hold him at fault for this but after watching him for as long as I have it seems clear that Obama is a man who does not have a core.

I also worry about his soul because of the poison that he has experienced from the likes of Wright and Pfleger.
