(CNSNews.com) – When U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power testifies before a House Appropriations subcommittee on Wednesday, the panel will consider a budget request for international organizations that is 33 percent bigger than last year’s, including a 43 percent hike in U.S. contributions to peacekeeping missions.

The administration’s fiscal year 2015 budget request for the U.N. and other organizations is $4.036 billion, up from $3.031 billion in FY2014. For contributions to peacekeeping missions, it is asking for $2.518 billion, up from $1.765 last year.

Cut US military spending, but send more money to the UN. A highly efficient, well thought out plan, I'm sure.

Well Oldtimer that would be a bit easier to do if your hero Obama would OK the pipeline, start OK'ing permits to drill baby drill and actually work on the idea of being energy efficient on energy sources that are reliable. But when the US is pouring billions into GREEN ENERGY Bankrupt projects and staying dependent on the Middle East for their real energy sources you have to protect your interest in those war ridden countries LIKE IT OR NOT.

OH don't forget it was Oldtimer's Buddy Obama that drew a red line in the sand of Syria and when it was crossed without repercussions it encouraged even more killing of citizens and invading of neighboring countries by the wingnuts of the world. Oldtimer still thinks if the US guts their military everyone will do the same.

I guess he also forgot the Ukraine agreed to give up their nukes by signing an agreement for PROTECTION from being invaded. But when they needed protection from Russia, everyone turned their heads and pulled a Oldtimer by claiming NOT MY PROBLEM. Results Russia walked in, forced a vote by gun point and annexed Crimea with their Sea Ports, Military bases and Natural Gas fields without even one shot. And the rest of the Ukraine and several other former USSR countries are in Putin's military crosshairs due to Obama's weak azz sanctions on 20 of his Russian businessmen buddies.
