ObamaCare’s latest whopper

this might explain why the liberals on here are trying to distract everyone with personal attacks on former Vice President nominee Palin..

ObamaCare’s latest whopper

Like so many other parts of ObamaCare, the reality flies in the face of promises. In this case, it was the one where the president assured us that “you’re not going to have anybody getting in between you and your doctor in your decision making.”

Section 1311(h)(1)(B) of the health law gives the secretary of Health and Human Services blanket authority to dictate how doctors treat patients. Not just patients in government programs like Medicare and Medicaid, but patients with private plans they pay for themselves. On Dec. 2, 2013, we learned from the Federal Register that the rules are now being written. Starting in 2015, insurance companies will be barred from doing business with doctors who fail to comply. The rules will be offered in the name of ensuring “health-care quality,” which of course could mean anything.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel. Early on, he suggested that doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously “as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others.”

His point was that so long as doctors are in charge, cost control would not be possible.

Obama’s nominee to run the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Dr. Donald Berwick, also insisted the federal government must step in between doctors and their patients to curb and redistribute the use of medical resources.

Berwick said resources should be allocated based on “important subgroups.” These groups, rather than the individual patient in the doctor’s office, he said, should be the “unit of concern.”

In other words, these considerations are more important than what your doctor decides for you. So if you want to get the treatment your doctor suggests, you’d better hope you’re in the right demographic.

Like so many other parts of ObamaCare, the reality flies in the face of promises. In this case, it was the one where the president assured us that “you’re not going to have anybody getting in between you and your doctor in your decision making.”

Yet this is precisely what ObamaCare does. It puts the federal government between you and your doctor with an eye toward limiting your care.

a lie Obama didn't have to tell because so few allowed the issue to be questioned. . instead mocking those who tried to warn them.

Obama said:
"If you want your life you can keep your life ... PERIOD!"

Just in case no one told ya.. this was going to happen..

ABC primetime special. A woman stood up and asked the president of the United States if her 93-year-old mother could get a pacemaker because of her will to live, her spirit. Obama said, "Nah, we can't calculate spirit and will to live into these kinds of decisions.

"At some point we're all gonna have to realize that maybe the answer is give them a pain pill and forgo any more surgery and just ease them for the rest of their lives."

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, health adviser to President Barack Obama, is under scrutiny. As a bioethicist, he has written extensively about who should get medical care, who should decide, and whose life is worth saving. Dr. Emanuel is part of a school of thought that redefines a physician’s duty, insisting that it includes working for the greater good of society instead of focusing only on a patient’s needs. Many physicians find that view dangerous, and most Americans are likely to agree.

True reform, he argues, must include redefining doctors' ethical obligations. In the June 18, 2008, issue of JAMA, Dr. Emanuel blames the Hippocratic Oath for the "overuse" of medical care.

In numerous writings, Dr. Emanuel chastises physicians for thinking only about their own patient's needs.

In fact, Dr. Emanuel makes a clear choice: "When implemented, the complete lives system produces a priority curve on which individuals aged roughly 15 and 40 years get the most substantial chance,...

I heard them talking about this today and the legal advisor they had on was saying he figures this will be the next lawsuit against Obamacare as the States are to regulate Doctors not the Federal government. With this part law that Palin warned everyone about years ago, Obama is again stepping on the power of the states when it comes to healthcare.

He also spoke about the fact the financial parts of Obamacare were made up by the Senate and that is NOT their responsibility that is the responsibility of the Republican controlled House. So Obama could be facing a lawsuit on that front too.

The third lawsuit they talked about was the re-writing of the law Obama is doing. It is not in the Constitution that he can re-write a Congressionally passed bill once he has signed it into THE LAW OF THE LAND. If he didn't like the bill as written he should have vetoed it verses signing it and then taking upon himself to rewrite it.

I hope Obama is hit with so many lawsuits over this worlds biggest LIE that it collapses under the weight of the paper used to file them.

sort of.. it is more by region in most areas.. so even within your state you could be out of luck so to speak..

the rules very by state to state and region to region..but basically..

If, however, your insurer's network doesn't extend to your travel destination, you will be reimbursed only for emergency and urgent-care services, not routine services.

When you're traveling outside of your state, your insurer doesn't matter: You are eligible only to have emergency and urgent medical services covered.

“None of our plans have out-of-state networks,” Lopez says.

If you actually succeeded in getting on an Obamacare exchange and purchased a new health insurance without the website crashing on you, you should know that if you travel or move to another state, your health plan won’t be traveling with you. If you find yourself needing medical treatment, your new health insurance will NOT cover it.

An Investor’s Business Daily editorial of Dec. 18, 2013 explains that within the ObamaCare exchanges so many Americans are being forced into, most plans only provide local medical coverage.

A prominent New York insurance broker points out that most of the policies offered on the ObamaCare exchanges are not national networks, so “if you need routine medical services, they will not be covered when you leave your local area,” as they were before.

American Thinker‘s Stella Paul interviewed one Connecticut retiree whose health required having a winter home in South Carolina. The woman’s $450-per-month, $2,500 deductible, no co-pay Blue Cross policy that had worked well in both states was suddenly canceled. The new policy she was offered under ObamaCare was twice as expensive, with a deductible costing $1,000 more, and no out-of-network coverage. She told Paul her new policy costs $900 a month. “with a $7,000 deductible and a co-pay on everything. Basically, it’s catastrophic insurance, and I’ll be paying my South Carolina doctors out of pocket.”

“With Americans no longer able to receive routine medical services when they travel, will they start showing up in emergency rooms for sore throats and backaches? And how will these new throngs of patients affect the waiting time of people with genuine medical emergencies?”

can it get any worse.. yes as WE find out whats in it we realize it is much worse then we predicted,...

thanks Mike you could have warned US,...

Geez Obama claimed the US healthcare system had to be fixed as if you lost your job you lose your insurance. Now everyone finds out that if they buy Obamacare insurance and go on vacation to another state you lose your insurance. So much for those warm winter vacations in the southern states :? .
