Obamacare The REST OF THE STORY

I was reading some of the comments in the link Soapweed put on about Dirty Harry and I found one pretty interesting and thought it would be good to point out.

For some reason I can't seem to reply to Sanford the doc. I'm not a physician, but I am a healthcare professional and a manager of transfusion service for 3 hospitals. I am responsible for budgets...the real problem with the high costs passed on to payers (those with decent insurance) is reimbursement. When Medicare/Medcaid pay a third of the cost of doing the business..example, costs me about 300 bucks from Red Cross for a bag of blood. Medicare/aid pay about 110 bucks (I realize this is tax money, but if the rest of us paid less, it would be much easier to cover Medicare deductions)...I have to pass that and the bad debt (hang nails in the ER) on to payers at a whopping 800 bucks just to keep open and we are non-profit. If the Medicar/Medicad would even pay the cost, we could easily lower the prices. And yes, I agree with lawyers..I've been in 10 depositions this year alone and not one of these had the slightest bit of merit.

Now this was written by somebody that deals with the budgets of hospitals telling the readers that Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements only cover a fraction of the true cost of treatment. Ask yourself what is going to happen to the cost of healthcare in the US when Obama robs $716 billion out of Medicare that is used to reimburse hospitals and doctors that are already getting a fraction of what it cost to treat patients.

Obama claims he is not cutting benefits to the elderly BUT will Hospitals continue to treat the elderly or will they cut their losses and refuse to except them and anyone else on Medicare and Medicaid?

Reports are saying 15% of Hospitals will close and Doctors will stop practicing if Obamacare is not repealed and if they are only getting paid 1/3 of the actual cost of treatment now can you REALLY BLAME THEM.

The Blood sucking Lawyers that are funding Political election campaigns are the Problem but when those same blood suckers are elected to run the government what can anyone expect when it comes to bills they write and later have to sue people over when they go back to private practice. If they are not making money off being corrupt in Washington they are using their power to insure a secure private practice once they leave Washington behind. :x
