House Speaker John Boehner responded a few hours later on the House floor. “The American people don’t want a shutdown and neither do I,” he said. Yet, he added, the new health care law “is having a devastating impact. … Something has to be done.”
The House of Representatives voted in favor of a procedural hurdle to consider the latest effort by GOP leadership to fund the federal government completely, but delay Obamacare’s individual mandate.
The House was expected to pass the bill to delay individual mandate and fund the government on Monday night. Senate Democrats have indicated that they will table the House proposal later Monday night.
The bottom line: According to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and another Democrat aid, the Senate will refuse to even consider any amendments proposed by the House. Compromise, at this point, appears unlikely.

What I'm pizzed about is they spent $500, $600, or a $BILLION$ (who knows how much) on something that that was called a "Train Wreck" over 6 months ago by some Democrats!
What makes no sense? You and your ilk are supporting something you know (or should know) won't work to start with.
The main one's buying in to it are people that couldn't get insurance before because of pre-existing ailments and the healthy ones aren't. That alone will skew the premiums so high that NO ONE will be able to afford it.
In a nutshell, I shouldn't have to pay high premiums because of someone else's illnesses...............................

Whoa up here big boy!!!!
You and your ilk have no freakin idea what I think of what's happened. I haven't posted one thing on my thoughts on what has happened....so back yor azz up!!
First.....I think it unbelieveable in the ages of EBay,Amazon, FaceBook, etc that they ( the Gov't) did not call in some of these brainy ones to set up their site.
Second....IF changes are to be made....the rules should be same for everyone. The Rep gov's of the South, the ones that will make you and me pay more, SHOULD be made to participate on the same level as the other states.....no opt out allowed. Remember the old, " You're either with me or against me?" saying.....here's the time to use it. By opting out, it causes the rural areas of America to pay more due to the lack of competition.
Third....I don't like the idea of paying more for others...but in reality we've been doing it all along anyway as those people would run to the ER with a hangnail or cold. Our premiums have been going up each and every year by a percentage due to this fact alone..
Fourth...Do I think they'll fix it? Sure I do. They will and it will work. It has to because you can't back up now....it has to be forward. And in 5-7 years, people will howl at the very thought of the Gov't messing with their health care and that howl will be as loud as if you messed with their SS.
Fifth...Do I think Rx companies will take advantage and run up the cost of certain meds? Sure I do. They've always overcharged for each and every drug ever made. But, once again, guidelines will come into effect to moderate this as people can not pay 4x's the amt of their present Rx cost.
Sixth....I sure hope your insurance covers the removal of that STICK UP YOUR AZZ!!!

More Forward? Too bad Obamacare is more like the grand wizard and not like the wizard of Oz. Maybe then they could offer progressives a brain. It just might be worth it then.
How many suppressed people do you keep on your plantation down there?
