Obama's Libya Lies Collapse:Senate Dems Demand Answers

Senate Democrats joined Republicans Thursday in questioning the Obama administration's handling of the fatal Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya and why the administration refused for days to acknowledge that it was a terrorist attack linked to al Qaeda.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, chaired by Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., circulated a bipartisan letter addressed to Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides, asking for an "accounting of the attacks against U.S. missions in Egypt, Libya and Yemen," according to a copy obtained by The Washington Examiner.

The lawmakers are also demanding to know whether the administration had any advance warnings of the Libyan attack and, if so, whether it had shared that information with U.S. personnel on the ground.

The letter marks the first time congressional Democrats have so directly expressed their dissatisfaction with the administration's response to inquiries about the attacks, which resulted in the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others and raised questions about U.S. security throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa.

A Kerry aide confirmed that the committee intended to enlist the support of Republicans and Democrats and said the letter would likely be sent Friday. Another aide told The Examiner that the panel's 10 Democrats and nine Republicans plan to sign it.

All the Congressmen are going to get for an answer is "An Investigation in ONGOING and we can't release any information until the investigation is done and a final report is filed"

In about 2 years and they might or might not get a redacted copy of the report just like they gave up on the Fast and Furious Investigation.

Any evidence of the blatant coverup will be hid under EXECUTIVE PRIVILEDGE and the American voters will never know who sent Sue Rice the UN Ambassador out on the Sunday talk shows LIEING to distract voters attention away from the FACT IT WAS A PLANNED TERRORIST ATTACK ON THE 11TH ANNIVERSARY OF 911 AND OBAMA WAS NOT PREPARED AND DID NOT HAVE SECURITY IN PLACE TO PROTECT HIS US AMBASSADOR IN A COUNTRY KNOWN AS A TERRORIST HOTBED BECAUSE HE WAS TO BUSY SKIPPING INTEL BRIEFING SO HE COULD PLAY GOLF AND ATTEND CAMPAIGN FUND RAISERS!!!!!!!!

Why has this Muslim (Obama) not been stopped from doing all this???
Who is to blame for allowing him to break all these laws for so long?
Doesn't anyone really care???

I am disgusted at the GOP leaders in Congress. They just look the other
way. In my mind, they are to blame too--for not stopping him long ago--
as are the Dem's. Wrong is wrong.

But I guess it's not that simple. :x

Bunch of parasites living off the taxpayers
and not taking care of what they are in charge of.

I'm sorry, smalltime, I'm not giving my vote away by voting
for Gary Johnson. I will vote for Mitt Romney. He may be able to do
something whereas Gary Johnson cannot because he will not be
elected. He is truly a spoiler in this election and if you want things
to be different, we have to be realistic. AND we need to be very careful
who else we vote in for Senator or Representative. I truly believe that
is what will make the difference. We can't keep electing the same people
expecting things to be different. After all that is a sign of insanity--
doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

I wish you would re-think voting for Gary Johnson, just because even though
you feel you are making a statement, it could change the outcome so
that we have Obama for four more years. If that happens our children
and our children's children will never know America as we know it.
The stakes are too high to waste a vote on someone who hasn't a chance of being elected.
I know where you are coming from, and I don't blame you for
wanting to make a stand for something you believe strongly
about. However there is a time and a place for everything and I don't believe NOW is the time or the place.
Again, the stakes are too high. This is the most important election
of MY/OUR lifetime.

While I think Johnson would be a good choice,,and if he had a realistic chance I would vote for him... but because he does not have a chance I am not going to give up my one vote by voting for him in this election so he can play a spoiler
SORRY cannot see your reasoning!!

At this point the US is screwed.

obama will speed your descent over trhe cliff and romney will give you another 4 years to put on the breaks.

You're still going over the cliff, but maybe the citizens of the country could do with a 4 year warning, instead of having some "fabricating lying ahole" standing in front of the crowd, telling them that everything is going to be "A Okay"

obama has always been , and will always be a fraud.

Ok so we know that we won't have anything left of this country in four years if obama is elected....so that's a no vote.

With Romney we do have a chance

And you say with Johnson we have a chance(I still wonder abbout the Iran deal, etc)

So we have Romney and Johnson are our choices.......Hmmm since Johnson doesn't even stand a chance at winning....who is our only logical choice.

There is no logical choice but Romney, Johnson isn't worth mentioning.
