obama's press conference on situation in Iraq

There's no doubt that the President is a poor public speaker. That has been obvious from the beginning of his campaining back in 2007.

However, what's really significant is what he says between all of the "uhs".

I listened to the entire broadcast. His entire thrust was that the Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds must decide to get along with one another. A consensus government must be established that represents all three groups that will agree to work together for mutual success.

The problem with that is that they have been fighting one another for 1,500 years over who should be Mohammed's successor. That's the heart of the controversy between/among the factions.

Does anyone really believe that a speech by an African-American on June 19, 2014 is going to change 1,500 years of contention? Is the President really that naive? Are his speech writers really that stupid?

There is no solution to the Muslim problem. All we can hope to do is to stop them at our borders, and our government is not at all willing to do that.

We're in a heap of trouble for at least the next two years.
