Obama's Wheelchair

Obama's Wheelchair

Over the two plus terms of FDR, the press covered up the fact that he was crippled and was in a wheelchair. Perhaps there is something symbolic about not being able to stand up on your own two feet.

Such is the case with Barack Obama. Give him a teleprompter and he has the wisdom of Socrates. Make him stand on his own two feet and speak for himself, and he sounds shallow, unsure of himself, and in some cases, in a state of mental meltdown.

Just like FDR, the press is concealing Obama's wheelchair. The stammering fits and starts that Obama has had in a contemporaneous environment are ignored, the soaring oratory is highlighted.

I've been uncomfortable at times listening to President Bush speak off the cuff while on foreign visits or at international conferences. His minor gaffes, however, pale in comparison with Obama's meltdowns.

The media needs to realize how Obama's lack of skill and experience will play on the international stage. Opinions change very quickly with one poor performance.

Will the media trade the short-term gain of getting a crippled candidate elected over long-term damage of him later being exposed? I think we all know the answer

I don't see how he'll be able to hide this for another 4 1/2 months. He stutters and stammers so bad when he's not scripted and has to answer a question that he even makes President Bush sound articulate.

I expect this is the real reason that he is resisting the McCain proposals for town hall meetings. He's afraid of what he'll sound like without being able to read prepared remarks from a teleprompter.
