Born 1776, Died 2008

It does not hurt to read this several times.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning last November's Presidential election:

Number of States won by:

Obama: 19 McCain: 29

Square miles of land won by:

Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by:

Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:

Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message..

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Hey, I am just as against obama as most anyone here. But this appears to be a bogus email thread.

Now if someone can show me this thread is actually accurate, I would greatly appreciate it.[/url]

it appears the spread or numbers are misleading.. and false.. while the intent is partly true..

example: murder rate numbers are wrong and inflated for Obama and lower for McCain.. but the fact is murder rates are much worse in counties that voted for Obama..

or the square miles of land won by: Obama the number is higher then that given and the number for McCain is lower.. but the fact is that McCain did win more square miles.. (826,613 more)..

so by using factchecks methodology it is false, but we don't know how the original writer came up with their figures.. part of the inaccuracies may be due to different tally methodologies and part might be from flawed data.

but what I find is factcheck and snoops often say an e-mail is false based on their opinion of methodology or by them not agreeing with a data set, while ignoreing the intent of the e-mail.. as they have done with this e-mail as well..

so if you look at the intent.. and that most of the assumptions / summaries are correct.. the e-mail is just backing up what most who received and forwarded it already believed..
