Our Alfalfa looks like crap... Just terrible. It was comming n like gangbusters but than booom, a couple 17 degree nights and it, well, doubt it is killed out but it won't be waist high by May 15th either... Or knee high for that matter probably. Not a huge deal really as we are done haying our alfalfa fields and manage the old mixed Alfalfa Orchard fields for grazing instead but I'm a little tired of the cold. Forcast is statring to look better, night time lows above freezing and highs in the 50's and 60's again starting today (With wed being 44) .. should get the grass going, have rain in the forcast tonight, I guess they are expecting a couple inches of snow about 50 miles or so to the north of here... I really don't think I could handle any more snow.. I know it wouldn't stick but just the hit of seeing snow on the ground first thing in the morning... no thank you.
