Odd - Texas A&M invited to Cotton Bowl

Invited before the Big 12 game?

Where does that leave the loser of the B-12 game?

Alamo Bowl? against a #23 ranked Arizona?

Gonna be hard to fit in all the SEC teams that are qualified.

You'll get 8 teams in bowl games and then the mighty SEC will do their usual win half, lose half.

I haven't kept up with the overall bowl records, but out of the last 7 BCS title games, 5 have gone to the SEC. Nuff said....

Back to topic........ Why did the Cotton bowl choose Texas A&M early? Shouldn't OKLA. or the Huskers get that game?

I guess they can do whatever they want to do. They're probably just trying to sell tickets and figure A&M will buy the most.

SEC Bowl record winning percentages:
SEC = .560%
Big 12 =.490%

But when you take in consideration so many more SEC teams have appeared in bowls as opposed to the Big 12, the number is sort of menial comparatively.

358 to 100

I could be wrong, but I think 10 SEC teams are bowl eligible.

I'm sure after seeing who their opponent could be the Aggies would be glad to opt out of the Cotton Bowl. You can put all those 6-6 teams from the SEC in some minor bowl where they deserve to be.

I bet A&M would be glad to opt out.
Looks like LSU, Ark, or Bama. Either one are sure winners.

Probably....Arkansas already beat the Ags once this year. Bama or LSU should be able to do the same.

Oklahoma would bring a big crowd to the game but after the Big 12 Championship game the Cottonbowl would be their 3rd visit to town.

The SEC is like Notre Dame - too much hype and perenially overrated.

Glad you told me.

No problem, and don't be afraid to ask for any other information.

10-4

But leaving the second rated Conference and moving to the third rated still makes no sense.

If the Huskers had half the clout they think the do, why didn't they just overule Texas?

simple answer...the others in the old Big 8 have for YEARS been treated by NU, the EXACT SAME WAY the Nu is getting powned by Texas...and the big bully don't like it...

NU is upset that they are not the big boy on the block. and those that they pissed on for years, are now saying, "ok, we are not the elite program, but NU is NOT gonna run the show anymore" and so NU cries like a bitch and leaves.

that is the TRUTH and those so called "greatest fans" will give you a million different bullshit stories to claim that they took the high road, when in fact they shuffledd out the door like a big baby.

How were we treating the others so poorly when we were subsidizing their programs? You sound like a welfare crumbo crabbing about how "I gots nuthin and the man gots a new house".
