I broke down and bought new skillets and pans.... I had a weak moment at wally world and bought a Paula Dean set... I love it... I couldn't give up my no stick skillets, yet I have the copper bottom for great heating... I am impressed with how little heat it takes to cook... I was reading where your not suppost to use oil with your no stick.. I tried it with some eggs and I still think I will use a little Pam...
Now I can retire my mom"s copper bottom pan that she got for a wedding present...  They've been married for over fifty five years... How are you getting along with your new ones???

I got all stainless except the 2 skillets were non-stick. I love my set,
too!!
A friend of mine got the Paula Dean and she's really happy with
them as well. I think all cookware is better than it used to be.
Was your mom happy to get her set back?

So now what have you done about new wheels? :p

Doesn't take much oil if you give them a lil shot of WD40 first.

katrina...what are you drinking, girl?

The FRY PANS ARE NON-STICK.
They aren't stainless, they are non-stick. There were 2 different size
fry pans with my set, plus a pan they called a chicken fryer, deep with
a lid. So that's what I fry in...

Congrats on the new wheels. Is it a 2010? They are so sharp looking!!
I really like the looks of them. YOOOOO HOOOOOOO. You go, girl!!!

Now I see they are coming out with 1/2 ton Diesel pickups...

Don't worry about the Caddy, you've got new wheels, gal!!!!!
You'll love it as soon as you get used to it!

What do I fry? EVERYTHING. :help: But I'm working on it.

I'm terrible about frying too much. When the crisis is on, you revert
back to what you know, right? Seems like there's always
a crisis here and fried food is what I know. :p
Maybe I should get off the computer and plan my meals
better...

I wish the wind would stop blowing then I could
use the BBQ grill.

Good for you for not frying. I don't know why I still am. I know better...
it's just easy I guess. I bought one of the George Forman grills and sent
it back as I had just got a new stove and I thought, "I bought this new
stove and now I bought this grill...????? What's the matter with me,"
and I sent the grill back.

Now you've inspired me...

I changed my mind.. Were having rice and chicken with vegtables... I use home canned tomatoes instead of water.. And put it in the oven..
Have you ever tried those lasanga(sp) noodles you don't need to boil first?

That was my thought as I was typing that post...

Katrina, I make lasagne with those no-boil noodles all the time.
In fact, that's the only kind I use.

So, will you send me the chicken recipe you just mentioned?
I can get Mr. FH to eat chicken once in a blue moon...and this
sounds like something I'd like to try. Thanks.

Now remember I'm a dump and pour cook.. I don't use a measureing cup very often...

take your chicken any kind and amount..
Put in casserole dish... Put in any kind and amount of veggys.. I had some carrots, celery, mushrooms, peppers, onions. Put in with the chicken and add rice.. Season with salt and pepper then add homemade toemato juice and toematoes. Put in the oven and bake till done...

I really like to bake a chicken breast, boil some organic wheat noodles, stir fry some frozen stir fry veggies. add all together a little soy sauce if you want and enjoy... My guys will even eat healthy with me...

Ok thanks.

**Question: Is the chicken alive or dead?

Seriously, is the chicken cooked or raw in the first dish?
And is the rice cooked or raw?

I don't cook much with chicken. but I'll try both of these.

Thanks.

**(the  made me do it... )
