Friend of mine told me she seen geese flyin north a couple days ago. I haven't seen or heard any myself yet.....but she wouldn't pull my leg about a thing like that....Ya might wanna get them blue tractors of yours greased and fueled up ready to roll.

thats good news,i aint seen any geese but horses are shedding.
maybe we are close to some warm weather.
Long as the tractors been sittin probaly need new batteries too,wont bbe long till I find out.
Are you dryin out any over there,losses like that sure make a calf crop hard to pencil.

The sunshine and wind have helped some.....but there's still water standin in the pastures. Need a lil warmer temps to get it dried up. Ain't gonna soak in that's for sure. Grounds full of water and won't hold anymore.

Yall better get to figgerin something,rain this weekend and the closer we get to spring the wetter its gonna be.
I hope you dry out enuff and or find somewhere to trap those cows,sounds like in addition to your losses you are getting set up for hoof problems.

Seen a few go thru the ring in Bryan yesterday that had foot problems. Not surprisin with how wet it is.

There's no where on the place that we could put em that would be any dryer than the hill they were on where they sunk. Just gonna hafta deal with it as best we can till dryer weather takes place. Closer they are confined together the worse it'll be on the ground.

Was just lookin at the 10 day forecast...it's lookin really nice. cept for a day or two of rain. Rest of the time it's gonna be in the 60s and 70's I can deal with that.

So when do you start calving Lilly? Hope the water goes down before then! When it gets to 35-40 here..we're shedding coveralls and coats! lol We could use some sunshine though..it puts everyone in a better mood to calve in..lol
