Literally!!! For some wierd reason, Mr Lilly stayed in the house watchin some series called "Band of Brothers" on Spike (WW II movie). Not that it wasn't a good show...but they had a merathon of em...it was on ALLLLL DAYYYY LONGGGG. I finally laid a hand on the remote at 10:15pm.

I can only stand so much of that kinda show. So around 10am.....after it'd been on already for an hour, I decided to go outside. I've mowed allll around the house for the last three days. So today, I got out the tree trimmer things. Choppers is what I call em. I went to choppin. I hauled off two truck loads of limbs that I trimmed offa trees around the house. I'd come in ever now and again, Mr Lilly still sittin on the couch.....I'd get a glass of tea..cool off for a few minutes and head back outside. He had no idea what I was doin, nor did he care LOL. He works hard every day....so I guess he deserved a day on the couch. I just couldn't stand the tv that long.

Finally found a stoppin point on the trimmin. Not finished by any means. You could trim every day at my house and never get done. I live smack dab in the middle of the woods. I'm comin to the conclusion that I'd like a few less trees. Ok...found the stoppin point, came in, started potatoes and eggs boilin for deviled eggs, Steaks on the grill.....Went back outside, and I decided the only way I'm gonna get new facilities for the horses is to tear down the old. So off I went with a hammer and a crow bar. Tore out 1/2 the horse pen fence. It's a smaller fenced in area that we can put one or two if we need to pen em. I'm takin out the rest of it tomorrow. It's cedar posts and horse slick wire. I absolutely hate slick wire. It stretches soooooo much that you can almost take it down, and build twice the length of fence as you could when you first built it. I don't know if he knows what I was doin or not. I was on a tear LOL Been on a tear for this whole weekend. My poor lil John Deere ridin lawn mower has seen places that shoulda been mowed with a big tractor and shreader. But those are all out at the cow pasture, and I mentioned several times that "I sure would like to" but with no results. LOL Prime example of selective hearing. But I love him....bless his heart. He's a good guy. Just wanna smack him upside the head sometimes, and say, "Can you hear me???" lol

But all in all, I think I had a real productive weekend. I"m give smooth out, but it's a good tired.

Sounds like you had a productive weekend! And Mr. Lilly got his "cogitation time" sounds like. I spent my weekend pulling vines and brambles out of a massive liveoak tree Found some great limbs to hang a hammock!
