House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) warned Republicans will investigate President Obama's birthplace if they take over Congress.

That would be so comical- and so hypocritical- since all of a joint session of Congress (including VP Cheney as President of the Senate) voted by a UNANIMOUS vote to certify Barack H. Obama as the duly elected President of the United States.... (Why did Clyburn or all these Congressmen that now call themselves Teabaggers vote to certify Obama if he had questions :???: )

What are the Repubs going to claim- they were ALL asleep for about 8 years :???: They might even win a lot of support taking that defense because its about the truth... :p

But now they are claiming to be Born Agains- or Tea Partyiers/Patriots   - and things will change  :p
What a joke- they still all vote for what corporate entity sticks the most $ into their pockets..... :(

A Rose is a Rose is a Rose
A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet

A politician by any other name will still have the same stripe down their backs and the same odor.... Some of these Red Beckman types are giving you a big Aryan Nation/Posse Comitatus/Freemen/KKK anarchist snow (blow)job.... :( :(

Nothing will change in US politics (D or R) until the big money lobbyiest influence is totally removed- but saddly lately the Tea Party folks and the Repubs have opposed all efforts to overturn the SCOTUS ruling that corporations have individual rights - and that corporations and thru corporations foreign entities can pump as much money into elections as they want- IN ANONYMITY- and not be held accountable for what they say !!! :( :( :(
Sad day in US sovereignty !!!!

Don't matter if Clyburn is a Repub, Dem, *********, or Holy Roller- since he was in Congress at the vote-- its comical that anyone of them now call for an investigation after a a joint session of Congress (including VP Cheney as President of the Senate) voted by a UNANIMOUS vote to certify Barack H. Obama as the duly elected President of the United States.... Can you explain what they were ALL ( and especially the opposite party- Repubs) doing if this is such a real issue ?

That must just about set crosses on fire in Alabama without a match to know that your greatest Repub heros like Cheney voted for a black or mixed race person without even questioning them.... :p

They voted UNANIMOUSLY to accept the Electoral Colleges decision that he was qualified for and elected the President of the United States.... As I understand the Constitution- those are the folks- backed by the Congress that make the final decision...

May be the reason the SCOTUS refuses to take up the issue....

Wrong , wrong, wrong , wrong, wrong.

They CERTIFY the Electoral votes only. None of this crap you say that he was qualified by the Senate & House. They take the State's votes and tally them. That is all!!!!!!!

It is left to the PARTY to qualify a presidential candidate.

Twelfth Amendment

The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate; The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;--The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice.... The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President to the United States.

So then the Dems qualified him- the electoral college backed that up- the entire Congress and the Vice President of the US certified that... Sounds qualified to me --- unless you are saying all these other folks don't think for themselves or can't speak up and are just rubber stampers....

The entire Congress and Vice President certified the Electoral Votes only.

That is their only duty and power in the election process according to the U.S. Constitution.

They qualified nothing except the vote tally. Never have. You have tried to say otherwise but have been caught in another lie.

It must SUCK to be you.

P.S. You might want to go back to your "Genetic Engineering" studies.
