oH, oH, NON NBC Cruz jumps on the Bundy bandwagon

Ted Cruz weighed in on the Cliven Bundy situation with Texas radio host Chad Hasty Tuesday, and he called the standoff between Bundy supporters (some armed) and federal agents a tragic situation, but one that was the “culmination” of how President Obama has been pushing for a bigger and more intrusive federal government.

Cruz said that since Obama took over, “we have seen our liberty under assault” from a government “hell-bent on expanding its authority over every aspect of our lives.”

Best not vote for him, I guess....he supports the lawbreaker...

Sean Hannity:

His comments are beyond repugnant to me. They are beyond despicable to me. They are beyond ignorant to me. And, my level of anger is about, you know, go back and listen to Democrats every election year, they want to say Republicans, or conservatives what? Or, conservatives what? That conservatives are racists. Conservatives hate women. Throw granny off the cliff… So people for the right reasons who saw this case as government overreach, now are like branded because of the ignorant, racist, repugnant, despicable comments of Cliven Bundy.”

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I agree entirely with Chuck. First of all it isn't enough to say I don't agree with what he said. This is a despicable statement. It's not the statement, you have to disassociate yourself entirely from the man. It's not like the words exist here and the man exists here. And why conservatives, or some conservatives end up in bed with people who, you know, he makes an anti-government statement, he takes an anti-government stand, he wears a nice big hat and he rides a horse, and all of a sudden he is a champion of democracy. This is a man who said that he doesn't recognize the authority of the United States of America. That makes him a patriot? I love this country, I love the Constitution, and it is the Constitution that established a government that all of us have to recognize. And for him to reject it was the beginning of all of this. And now what he said today is just the end of this.

And I think it is truly appalling that, as Chuck says, there are times when somehow simply because somebody takes an oppositionist stand, he becomes a conservative hero. You got to wait, you got to watch, you got to think about it. And look, do I have the right to go in to graze sheep in Central Park? I think not. You have to have some respect for the federal government, some respect for our system. And to say you don't and you don't recognize it and that makes you a conservative hero, to me, is completely contradictory, and rather appalling. And he has now proved it.

So does his remarks make his case against the BLM any different?

Nope his case is still unwinnable due to his own illegal actions, it is just now due to his comments he does not have the sympathy or support of A LOT of Conservatives as they see his comments as toxic to the real fight against the BLM over reach. Maybe now they will actually support a winnable case and stop being distracted by Bundy's media attention grabbing tactics.

Hopefully the media silences this lawbreaker, soon. Hate to have him start a "movement", like lawbreaker Rosa did...

Maybe Bundy's actions were choreographed like Rosa's were.

Rosa was a well trained actor that followed her script throughout.

Gosh o Friday, you and OT are cut from the same cloth. A LOT of Conservatives? Last time I checked, we lived in a country that protected the rights of the smallest minority- the individual. So unless you buy into something that does not exist- the US is a Democracy... then it really doesn't matter what A LOT of anyone thinks. A LOT of people thought the US should bend over for the king of England. A few thought that people should have a right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. To do so, they had a few rights that needed to be secured by a state that recognized them. Those are still the Supreme law of the land.

His actions illegal- which actions? You've changed at least once what you don't agree with- seems like you just know that you don't agree.

The Bundy family claimed to the national media, to get support against an over reaching government, this was over land they owned, which it was not it was land they were once permitted/allowed to use by the Federal Government. Sad as it is, the government did not take their permits, they were revoke for NONPAYMENT, as the Bundy's stopped paying out of protest of a government they no long recognized to be legit. Then they illegally access more land than they ever were legally permitted to use. What would happen if everyone that had a beef with the government just stop recognizing them to be legit and did as they damn well wanted without repercussions?

This was posted by me wannabe see the date where have I changed what I Disagree with? :?

I disagreed with him not paying his fees and him accessing more land than he was ever legally permitted to access.

And the action are the ones he admitted to on national TV when he said he breaks the law every time he leaves his house in the morning to go tend to his cattle. Cattle that were ruled by the courts to be TRESPASSING ON PUBLIC LAND NOT PERMITTED TO HIM.
