Ok it tis the holiday season.and I suggest each day until Christmas someone asks a question related to the spirit of this time of year....Kinda like a ranchers net advant calender,......sorry no choclated pieces to eat here, but the waist line wont suffer either.....lol....Ok I will start......It does not matter if a few questions are asked each day,but if you have a question and see that another already has asked one save it till next day.that way we wont run out of hearing about entertaining Christmas traditions and favorites of others around us.

Ok what is you Favorite Christmas Carrol and You favorite Christmas song........

My favorite Christmas carrol is "Oh Holy Night"

My favorite Christmas song is "All I Want For Christmas,Is You"...

Porky pigs "blue Christmas" is a gooder too...lol

My favorite song: Santa Baby.
Santa Baby,
Just slip a sable under the tree
For me
Been an awful good girl
Santa Baby,
So hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa baby,
A '54 convertible too
Light blue
I'll wait up for you, dear
Santa baby,
So hurry down the chimney tonight

Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the Fella's that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be just as good
If you'll check out my Christmas list

Santa Baby,
I want a yacht and really that's not
A lot
Been an angel all year
Santa Baby,
So hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa honey,
One little thing I really need
The deed
To a platinum mine
Santa Baby,
So hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa cutie,
Fill my stocking with a duplex
And checks
Sign your 'x' on the line
Santa cutie,
and hurry down the chimney tonight

Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you
Let´s see if you believe in me, too

Santa Baby,
Forgot to mention one little thing
A ring
I don't mean on the phone
Santa Baby,
So hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry...tonight

Or the dogs singing Jingle bells:

My favorite carole is Oh, holy night...

I like that George Micheal one "Last Christmas" LUV Bing Crosby singing anything Christmasy, Amy Grants very first Christmas album and Jim Nabors Christmas tunes. But if it gets out that I listen to Jim Nabors I will be forced to pretend I have no idea what you are talking about! I will never admit it! I'm pretty sure this is another post that Katrina and Jigs have hijacked! :p

I burn my music on CD’s through a program I have & can get most every song off the internet with it. My Christmas CD consists of Elvis & Burl Ives. The No.1 song on it is “Why can’t everyday be like Christmas” by Elvis. (sometimes titled “If everyday was just like Christmas”) I have to listen to it whenever I help set up the tree or go Christmas shopping, just to get into the spirit!

As far as the song mentioned earlier, “Santa Baby”, After the other night, I hope I never hear it again! We had to finish up a dart tournament that ran way over time. There were 4 teams of us, that hadn’t lost yet so we had to play it off. We went to a club to finish & there were 4 girls in their late teens practicing their dance routine just a few feet away from where we were playing darts. They had on skimpy little ‘Vegas’ type costumes and were trying to dance to ‘Santa Baby’.

I say trying because these girls were awful! I’m not sure how to describe it except to say they were ‘overly Caucasian ‘! They had no rhythm! Their instructor made them do it over & over! (maybe he was a pervert!) One of the women on the other team we were playing lost count at 15-16 times that we heard ‘santa baby‘! One of the tournament organizers finally went over and told them, “Enough already! We can’t take anymore!” So they finally switched songs (without much success!)!

By far, the most moving Christmas song I have ever heard was "O Holy Night", sung by Lucy McNeil of the Barra McNeil's of east coast fame. A few years ago, the kids and I went to hear them when they came to town to do a show just before Christmas.

Lucy had a bit of a cold that night, but it did not stop her from doing the absolute best job ever of that piece. When she finished, the whole place was silent for a moment and then just erupted in applause, a very long applause that kept her on the stage taking her bows for a looong time!

It was one of those performances that has its own special power, one that would be very difficult to duplicate.
