I have two favourite ornaments.
One is a black cat cut out of construction paper, with yellow eyes glued on, and a little pink nose. It is the first project my oldest son ever made on his own at nursery school. He made it to look like our cat George, so we call it George, and put it on the tree every year. That little piece of paper has been perched on the Christmas tree every year for the past 26 years.

Our son's friends still go straight to the tree to find George every Christmas when they come to visit.
The other is an angel that son number 2 made in nursery school. She started out life as a toilet paper roll, with blue paper, sparkles, wings and a halo. Over the past 24 years, the poor girl has taken some wear, and has lost her wings, so looks more like a fancy toilet paper roll now.

She still looks beautiful to us. :santa:
