The presidential candidates chose their running mates and as they did I wondered what you staunch republican supporters thought when good OLD boy John picked a 44 year woman to be his VP when for months you all had yelled and screamed with loud typing fingers about how unexperienced and youthful Obama was. In my opinion OLD John helped many voters choose who to vote for with that one simple, keep in mind I said SIMPLE, person for a reason to be his running mate. He counted on women being to dumb at the polls and plans on them voting for the woman any woman. When in reality it also has caused many conservative republicans to wonder if they want a 44 year old woman, with her most exciting attribute being a hockey mom that said no to a bridge to nowhere after the good ole American government had already quit offering it up, as a possible leader after he kicks off of old age. Like him or hate him in my opinion OLD John's VP choice was not his brightest pick.

In other news while I was away in trying to keep you all up to date about events going on outside of your little world Clay Aiken came out he's gay. (No big shocker their but just wanted to throw in some gay stuff to lead you all to insult me a time or two.) Clay had a baby with his friend and guess what they aren't married! SHock, faint, fall on the conservative floors around the world wide web.

In Nebraska news the state is in arms over the fact parents are dropping off their children at hospitals due to the states new Safe Haven law. Under this law parents can drop of children at hospitals and not be prosecuted. The law was enacted to save babies but some crazy parents out there are dropping off teens. State lawmakers are going to look more at the wording because of the word child it is making it okie dokie to leave those rebellious teens. Myself I'm just thankful the law wasn't in tact in my teen years or I'm sure I'd have been a drop off too! There got to it before any of you fun hating conservatives could. :D

Aplus keep in mind on Sunday night our favorite show, besides Grey's Anatomy, Brothers and Sisters will return for viewing enjoyment. Remember that tear jerking episode last year where the brother took a life partner. (Wouldn't want to say married a man and take the chance of someone reminding me how the word married is only suitable to use when refering to a union between a man and a woman.)

It's great to be back I look forward to the debate and the insults to come. :p

CA, "with her most exciting attribute being a hockey mom "

I think you need to do a little more research on what Sarah has done up there during her short tunure. She's done a heck of a lot more than ferry her kids to the rink (or organize a community).

That's right. She was on alert for Putin's invasion from Russia. You do know you can see Russia from Alaska. :D

And don't forget the earmarks she brought to Alaska. Millions of dollars in earmarks. She's a wonder alright. And did you hear that she's safe from witches? She was prayed over to protect her from witchcraft. I wonder if we've ever had a VP so protected? Can't hurt. :D

After watching her interview with Katie Couric- I'm sure they've got Sister Sarah back in her "cone of silence" trying to teach her some new talking points...Now I feel sorry for those instructors- imagine trying to put anything into the head of a beauty queen- especially a third runner up who only 2 months ago was saying she didn't know what the Vice President did :???:

McBusch tried to get her debate delayed with his little trick trip back to D.C.-changing all the debate dates-but when even some of the Repubs said "we don't want the candidates here"- and the public looked at it as a "gimmick" he wasn't able to pull it off....

You can't live and die by "Hail Mary" plays......

Ritalin HA! Shows how much you know once I get on a topic I can stay on task and on track for pages and pages and pages........You could only wish I had attention problems.

Have a nice day. :pretty:

I really doubt anyone in their right mind ever thought Clay Aiken was straight.  You've told us why you think McCain/Palin is such a bad choice, so I'll ask for Sandhusker, why is Obama/Biden so great, we've had a few brave souls reply, but for the most part that topic never seems to get a straight answer.....over 40 and an American citizen does not count!.....ready....go! show us your stuff hot shot!

Why is Obama/Biden so great? They're not. They shouldn't be running. Obama has done nothing to warrant a presidential run, he's a racist and he's a socialist. He claims to be change agent, but he's never changed a dang thing, even when he's a part of one of the most corrupt political regimes that is in desperate need of change.

Thank you! And you too, my dear.

I guess I'm the only one who tried vainly to see a connection between the thread title and the "content"? So pardon me for making my curiosity known? Such a trifling matter!

I am not surprised to learn that you could doggedly hold forth on a subject long after your audience's attention has been exhausted.

Because of the strong humor you bring to the board, I can't believe that I didn't notice that you were gone!!

And may I suggest you try a little wine or brandy instead of glugging it straight from the vinegar jug!!! :)

I don't think Obama is a great choice. I think both parties have unqualified candidates. I strongly feel either way we as a nation are pretty much screwed.

I would like to see a vote system where any person can run up until election time. Why do we get just two to vote for? What if the best person to run this great economy struggling country is out there. I strongly feel that person is, looking at out choices for November.

When there are two poor choices I feel you look at the choice you can be the most comfortable with. I'm sorry but an old man isn't the best choice out of the two, that's just my opinion. McCain might have won me over had he picked a better VP choice. I am just very uneasy with the possibility that Palin could one day run this country. Not saying I'm sure about Obama running it either. I'm still just voting to nix out Texans vote. 8) (Just a remark before you all jump all over how dumb it is to vote for that reason!)
