This happened on May 9 2009. I am not sure what to think on this but I do know it is OUT OF LINE. Why not follow the ambulance to the hospital and then talk to the driver? Why not contact the Director of EMT services which will do ALOT more than a traffic ticket.......I know in NC & Tx the ambulances drive over the speed limit while transporting a patient.
How can you arrest the EMT in the back for the driving?
I think what got me the most is hearing the lady start screaming while they were fighting with the EMT who was caring for her......

White says as the trooper passed them, he made radio contact, telling Franks "you should consider checking your rearview mirrors".

then another state trooper pulls the ambulance over for failing to yield?

Pulling an ambulance on the way to a hospital with a a critical care paramedic treating a passenger,.. over for Failing to Yield to a police car?

this should have been handled by supervisors over the phone...

which emergency was more of an emergency... a woman going to the hospital or a state trooper who giving him a ticket?

by the accounts of the story,... he yielded, just not fast enough for the state trooper... the trooper who handled this should be evaluated,... and get some "training" or something... as he and the other troopers "over-reacted..

So then did the ambulance have it's lights and sirens on too? Any more, it seems like i've been hearing more and more stories of cops going on massive power and ego trips.

:???: Strange, around here I've seen RCMP....turn around and get a head of ambulances and escort them in. Here we are to pull over to let ambulances with lights going,pass.....

Not that it matters but IMHO....the trooper needs a talk from his supervisor, and a ticket of his own...down the road...
