I was quite shocked that the hubby actually knew what I "secretly" wanted for christmas.....actually, I think the demodriver probably helped him out!!! I got a nice little MP3 player that I have already downloaded a little of everything on....80's rock....chris ledoux.....terri clark.....bon jovi.....kenny chesney.....anything that will help my hiney get onto the treadmill!!! Told the hubby (after a nice half hour run on the treadmill), "This thing is a fat woman's best friend.....ya get on the treadmill and completely lose track of time! Before ya know it, you've put in 2 1/2 miles!!" :D :D

Al got me one of those memory foam mouse pads........super comfy, except the wrist rest is too high, and makes my broke shoulder hurt, so I just turned that to the side.

My mom and step-dad gave each of us $1,000 (the guys got most of theirs in "product", but I got mine all in cash). It's gone now, used to pay bills, get groceries and other "Christmas" goodies........ :? I'm seeing about getting a new Blazer (just 2WD, but good gas milage) that a guy who lives here, has for sale for $500......Sam says another $500 in it in minor repairs, and it'll be a great vehicle unless we get a lot of snow. Hope that he'll take payments, and I can work it out on my own, and then tell Mom that's what they gave me........

This was actually a really good Christmas, in that we went to my sister's, and spent all afternoon, and Hubby didn't once get impatient about staying so long, in fact, he was having a great time with my dad and my sister's BF.......they have a lot in common! :D

Santa was really good to us this year. I ended up with a wine making certificate for one of those u brew places ( so now i'll have enough booze when I go to visit the greg's) and gift certs to the Keg :) Brax got his 360 and a couple games. Santa brought lots of chocolate and oranges and more chocolate. Then a couple buckets of gummy bears and another one of sours. Seeing the family together was wonderful :) There is so much food in my house I don't even know what to do! Turkey soup was on tonights menu :)

Got some butchering stuff from the wife because I foolishly mentioned that we should take those old cull ewes and turn them into dog food (note to self, keep your mouth shut about extra work near the holidays) and some clothes and cash from my mom.. Told me to by myself something that I wanted, not needed.. Going to be tough... Sandy gave me all sorts of ideas but maybe not.. She told me I needed a hat... grumble.

The best part of the holiday, minus the 4 hours in the car, was spending time with the uncle and cousins... we don't see them enough anymore, probably never did but when you are by far the youngest of your generation you don't have a lot in comon with those older kids... Heck, the oldest ones kids are only 9 years younger than man..What a shoke seeing all those kids grown up

Well, Mr Lilly got me a really neat thing, seen it last month in Louisiana when we were barrel racin. It's a head massager.......run that thang thru your hair and it'll justabout make ya wind up in the floor in a lil puddle. Oh man it feels good. Then he got me some hand therapy stuff that I LOVE....it has Dead Sea salt and honey in it and......then a lil tube of lotion that lastssssssss foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Lil Lilly got me some jammies that have Snoopy on em. Son got me a computer game "Caterpiller"
Got a Cook book that's Famous Recipes from Restarants all over the US. Pretty neat.
Mother in Law got me a signed book by Dayton O. Hyde called "The Pastures of Beyond" (an old cowboy looks back at the old west)
Never heard of him, but it looks like it will be an interesting read.

Great Christmas-- I got another wool vest (this one is charcoal- where my other is grey), a horse hitched slide for my neckerchiefs, and one of those jumper batteries with the little air compressor built right in it...
Kids went together and got Grandma and I a great big soft "snuggle blanket" for sitting on the couch watching TV on those cold winter nights...

What better gift than to have a child recover from a potentially fatal illness. May she continue on the road to health.
We had a quiet Christmas with gifts of clothes, tools and kitchen stuff. Until the grandchildren arrive, and get old enough to terrorize the place, Christmas is a pretty tame time around here.

Daughter and eldest son flew in so we had all the children at home for Christmas as well, always the best present. The rest was clothes and toiletries, someone must be trying to tell me something, possibly timeto give up the pigs?

I am the easiest person to get a gift for...I have the same 3 things on my list every year...1. Chocolate 2...Bath & Body Works stuff...3...Boyds Bears...everything else is a bonus. Among those items, my g-ma got me gloves with Sable fur cuffs...oh they are so soft! Course they may not be as warm as the Alaskan gloves that Soapweed posted a picture of...Me being a simple gal...it don't take much to make me smile... :D

That had to be the best of the best presents listed, Peg!

My hubby gave me an arm that opens a window automatically on my little plastic greenhouse - it isn't electric. It has a chemical that expands as it heats up to about 74 degrees and that moves the arm to raise the window.I think the whole concept is neat and hope it works.

Got a new wool saddle blanket from the wife, John Wayne DVD's from the kids(made my year, right there), gift certificate from my folks, and a new chore coat from the in-laws. Pretty darn good haul, really.

It was just nice having everyone at our house for Christmas turkey Monday night. 13 of us sat down for supper, and I finally got to say, "I told ya so!" to my Dad, who said we didn't need that great big kitchen table. Big family = big gatherings. :D

I sat here and read everyones post and thought how lucky you all are. Then it dawned on me...I had a GREAT CHRISTMAS, my oldest came and visited, so I had both my boys with me. Later we sat down for a nice dinner with my folks and my brothers family. We chose to not exchange gifts, but the gift was for us all to be in one place at the same time without stressing who could afford what. I made all the gals a little gift out of a baking mit, just as a card and you slip in a little something for them to bake and its the gift that keeps giving  . Then we were fortunate enough to not have SNOW lol..so the kids played outside in the MUD and on the four wheelers. I went down treated the horses their Christmas. My dad took the great g.kids to put out hay and see the new baby calves.

All things were at peace....

Now who stayed up to talk to the animals ??remember?? lol

Wishing you all a GREAT NEW YEAR...

I got a daughter, my wife had a baby girl on xmas day. She wasn't due for 3 weeks but all is well with both. Baby Makayla will have to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks the doctor thinks. So after BSE, the closed border, trying to find money for the fertility clinic, miscarriages, FINALLY something good happens. And on Christmas day, God gave us the best present ever. Merry Christmas everyone :!:
