Old Askew Brothers' saddle

We have a small store in Missouri. A while back I came in one morning and found that someone had left an antique saddle on our doorstep. It turned out to be an old Askew saddle. I have had a lot of difficulty with finding someone who is qualified to give me an honest appraisal. I know it can't be worth a whole lot, but we would like to have some point of reference if someone makes us an offer for it. (Therein lies the difficulty with getting an honest appraisal.) It looks almost exactly like the Askew saddle that I saw on "History Detectives" that was Bill Pickett's saddle. Either way, it is a great conversation piece in the store, and that, certainly, is value enough. Come visit us if you're in the neighborhood! We're about 45 to 55 minutes from the American Royal. Thanks for all of your help!

If it was a free gift to you why does it matter if you don't get top buck. Normally those old saddles are'nt worth alot anyhow other than to the greedy people selling them.
