They're getting better!!! I have 40 years of A'I catalogues stored up-it's funny when I was six years old I'd look forward to the new 'bull books' more than the Xmas catalogue-there are some great old bulls in them in all breeds.i still dig them out and walk down memory lane much to my wife's chagrine.

This is a Red Angus bull named Larkspur 1F bred by Norm Smith of Larkspur, Colorado.

Famous AI bulls Larkabeau and Larkabelang trace back to this bull.

I had every AI catalog and every Rodeo Sports News/IPRA Sports News (and Playboys) going back to the 60's until I got married- and the Frau made me choose between her and the box's of moldy magazines (especially the Playboys) that I had stored in the bunkhouse-- but as she mellowed with age- I have been allowed to keep the AI and bull sale catalogs for the last 10 years or so....

The surprising thing I see is the number of these old bulls from the 60's being resurrected out of the semen tanks that are being used to replace the folly's and mistakes of the years of "bigger, better, faster" that didn't work out...

I'm sure enjoying these old pics. Looking forward to what you post as you proceed from here into the better breeds.
