We were worried for a minute.

But the dog turned up in the kennel.

Two brothers
Troublesonatrip.jpg

Trouble on the trip. A game warden picked me up going 65 in a 45 in Wind Cave National Park. Nothing that $80 didn't take care of. :?
TheClampettsgotoCuster.jpg

The Clampetts go to Custer. Later, the rest of the gang took in the Cosmos, where gravity is messed up.
Having bought a couple good books at a Custer bookstore, I decided to sit under a shade tree and read.
Playingminiaturegolf.jpg

Playing miniature golf. My sister and her two kids were in Rapid City, so we got to hob-nob with them a bit.
This is my nephew between my wife and daughter. He qualified for the junior high rodeo finals at Gallup, New Mexico
this summer in ribbon roping.
Kindoffunforuscountryhicks.jpg

Kind of fun entertainment
Thewaterfallwoks.jpg

The waterfall works.
Hopemyhatdoesntgetwet.jpg

Hope my hat doesn't get wet.
Caseyatthebat.jpg

Casey at the bat
Windisnotafactor.jpg

Wind is not a factor.
Thewildbunch.jpg

The wild bunch. It was a fun day. :)

At first I didn't notice the leash on the ground in the first picture. From the caption I thought there was concern due to the combination of a Ford and Firestone tires!

Another thing I did not know GFP officers were authorized to issue speeding tickets or other moving violations. I'll keep that in mind next time I try to outrun one. :p :p :p

Come to think of it, the arresting officer was a park ranger. My boys in the back seat were making snide remarks such as, "The name's Ranger,..........Park Ranger." :)

Soap, in order to instill proper respect and minimize the snide remarks, you should remind your boys it takes nothing less than a real park ranger to bring real hard-core lawbreakers such as yourself to justice.

I will certainly be looking forward to viewing this episode on "Cops". :p  8)

Possibly the Game and Parks are in full pick-'em-up mode to try to pay for with speeding fines the new land they bought which adjoins Wind Cave Park.

P.S. It was I who was in the wrong. :( I did hastily get my seatbelt buckled.

Yes Soap, all funnin' aside, the important thing to remember is Officer Park Ranger was doing the job the citizens hired him to do. That is to enforce the law. Next time you or I drive through the park we will remember your experience and tread more lightly with our right foot.

Neighbor who paid for the lesson tipped me off to one of the methods of the new highway patrolman we have in this area. There is a stop sign at this remote intersection of two state highways. I must admit I don't always come to a complete stop here. I do a more "whoa and go" through this sign, because there is very seldom any other traffic.

Not anymore. The new HP guy has been known to park and wait in the dark for offenders to roll through this sign. Then he lights up and has them fair and square.

Last time I was through there on a sunny afternoon I stopped and looked both ways. I came to a complete stop and used my turn signal. He was parked on an approach a 1/4 mile down the road.

Looks like yall had fun Soap. Just one thing though. I was always told that a person needed a goodlookin' bull to get nice looking calves. After seeing how pretty your daughter was, I'd say you just shot that theory outta the saddle. I'm gonna just start buying any old bull now. I've seen the proof that a person doesn't need much in bull power.

Good nutrition can take the place of a lot of genetics. :)
