had O' Donnell not been satirized in the media and Castle not been such a sore loser.. this race might be closer.. but all the recent gains are from people seeing her for what she really is.. a soft spoken intelligent lady and not a nutty witch..

DELAWARE: O’DONNELL CUTS COONS’ EDGE
Senate margin now 10 points; Little change in House race In the past two weeks, Republican Christine O’Donnell has narrowed Democrat Chris Coons’ lead in Delaware’s U.S. Senate race from 19 points to 10 points. The latest Monmouth University Poll finds Coons has the support of 51% of likely voters to 41% for O’Donnell. Two weeks ago, this race
stood at 57% to 38%. O’Donnell has actually pulled into a 49% to 43% lead in the southern part of the state (i.e. Kent and Sussex counties). Two weeks ago, this region of the state was divided at 47% for O’Donnell and 46% for Coons. The Democrat continues to hold a sizable advantage in New Castle County, but the current 56% to 36% margin is down from the 63% to 33% edge he held earlier this month. O’Donnell has also made gains among independent voters, now leading Coons 47% to 42% among this voting bloc. Two weeks ago, she trailed in the independent vote by 51% to 41%. “While Coons still has the advantage, it has to be uncomfortable knowing that O’Donnell was able to shave 9 points off his lead in just two weeks.

O’Donnell has seen some improvement in voters’ opinion of her personally, while Coons’ rating has dropped. O’Donnell is now viewed favorably by 34% of the electorate and unfavorably by 51%. Two weeks ago, this stood at 31% favorable to 58% unfavorable. Coons has a 45% favorable to 39% unfavorable rating, compared to a 50% favorable to 33% unfavorable rating two weeks ago

with days to go can the nutty witch narrow the lead?

or will the media hatchet job work?

you know, maybe the dems will be so busy stacking the vote in other places, that with the polls in this race, they will leave it alone and maybe there will be a true vote??

Vice president Joe Biden is urging fellow Delaware Democrats to get voters to the polls for the midterm elections.

Biden headlined a Democratic rally in downtown Wilmington on Monday evening that drew about 200 people.

He was confident Democrats would hold on to the Senate seat that had been his for more than 30 years.

Joining Biden were New Castle County executive Chris Coons, who is considered the favorite in his U.S. Senate race against Republican tea party favorite Christine O'Donnell.

WOW!
can you feel the excitement!
VP draws a crowd of about 200 ( ) in Wilmington DE- :D

we get more than that at our TEA parties in Eastern MT

O’Donnell talks ag policy with Farm Bureau

Dover, Del. —

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell added an agricultural angle to her message of conservative economic policy when she spoke to leaders of the Delaware Farm Bureau in Camden Oct. 15.

During a 40-minute question and answer session, O’Donnell treaded on some unfamiliar ground

O’Donnell found herself somewhat off script when the Farm Bureau’s Kent County Director Richard Wilkins asked her if she would support the ratification of new international free-trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia, Panama and other countries that are emerging as big consumers of American agricultural products.

Coons and Democratic candidate for U.S. House John Carney were scheduled to participate in the Farm Bureau sit-down, but were delayed because of a fundraising event with President Barack Obama held the same afternoon. Farm Bureau staff decided to reschedule a meeting with the Democrats.

Republican House candidate Glen Urquhart also was slated to be at the Farm Bureau, but his campaign thought the forum was a week later.

Delaware's often ignored rural areas are plastered with O' Donnell signs..

while few support the Del farm bureau she at least had the courtesy to show up for the bureau meeting..

In a noon email alert to supporters, Coons campaign manager Christy Gleason said close monitoring of voter turnout in the state’s 41 representative districts showed “lower turnout in New Castle and Kent counties than we’re comfortable with.”

To win, Mr. Coons will have to get heavy support from Democrats and independents in New Castle, the state’s most populous county. In the primary, Ms. O’Donnell drew heavy support from the state’s other two counties, Kent and Sussex, which skew more to the right.
