one weekend in October

I took a weekend this fall to get the wagon out and have some fun at a cook off. Here are a few photos.

Good friend Ted from Snyder TX came up to partake with me, he got stuck on the fire!

As you can see everyone was "ruffing it" by all the RV's, except for the teepee out fromt of my wagon got used :!:

Megan made a plate full of great butter scotch oatmeal cookies for use, and they all melted into one big one. So I teased her by taking the meat saw to them

Sunday morning chicken fried steaks for breakfast for a group of overnight friends.

We all had a great time and good fellowship with new friends also.

That was neat! I've always kinda had a hankering to learn how to
cook in a dutch oven over a fire. i do believe there is an art to it.

I would much rather make breads in a dutch with coals that any other way. Here we are checking them for doneness before turning in.
