Went to a wedding yesterday for a young couple who have been having a trial marriage for a year or so.
During the various toasts at the reception it was announced that the bride was expecting.
Kind of got my funnybone.

Why should that s'prise you? She's had evr' opportunity. :)

Quite a few years back a guy was working on our ranch. He went to town every Saturday evening, where he had a girl friend. The two of them worked at the Legion on Saturday nights. One Monday morning I inquired if there had been a dance the previous Saturday night. He said, no there was no dance but they did have a wedding conception. That kind of tickled my imagination. :)

At one of our rodeos a while back, one of the local Native ladies was telling the group about her 13 children. She was well into her cups and was asked why one of her boys was so much bigger than the rest. Her reply was that he must have been a catchcolt......We mess around a lot that summer....... :D

very true....Down here in them ther hills its not uncommon to have more than one birth notice in the weekly paper that has no father listed. Once in a great while the baby will be given three first names just in case...

A local man in his 20s is a trucker
His last name has been changed three times since he started trucking. I started write the check out to the name on the truck, the ticket had his second last name on it then he told me his new last name.
