Only those making $250K

Are there any of those folks left in America? I am talking about those making over $250K? Most of the folks I knew who were earning that aren't going to even come close this year. Obama busted the gas industry and took out all of the incentives to drill oil too.

Unless a miracle happens, I am dropping $80K gross income this year. It will be the worst year this decade.

Yes indeed. What a CHANGE.

And now he wants to do it to the Drug companies and the Insurance companies. Liberals can not stand to see someone or some company be profitable! They prefer to see groups like Labor Unions or Teachers Unions make more to hell with the rest! Bad thing is I can not buy stock in the Teachers Union to help supplement my retirement! And I can not roll over my money into Cash because he is artificially keeping interest rates non existent!

Profits and/or retained earnings are bad according to socialists. They are excesses that need to be distributed to the collective.

Talking about the teachers unions....I have my retirement in NC State Teachers...I called to find out how much and how long it would take if I needed to get it out. I was told expect 60 days since they are so busy cashing out accounts. Seems everyone is trying to get money any way they can.
Hail my thinking is if healthcare passes or they decide to transfer retirement over to SSI I WANT my money.
Peopel will start to wake up when they see their money is gone......even the NEA.

Let me know where I can send a donation to keep you afloat.

Maybe PB could organize a bake sale, but I sort of doubt we could hawk 80K worth of banana bread.

The cakes were auctioned. The V.P. and SHAW INC. got into a bidding war. The V.P. Paid $21K for a cake. SHAW paid $20K for a cake.

Mary in document control bakes us all a cake about once a month. We sent an engineer to the auction to buy Mary's cake. After passing the hat in the group, he had a little over $1400. He came back with no cake and was giving everyone their money back. He could have bought two different cakes earlier but they were not Mary's.

The cheapest cake went for a little over $900.

Alice I was shocked that they raised that much money. I'll forward you an email summary tomorrow a.m. that they sent out to us detailing the totals.

Please do that. And again, how does the volunteer group I'm associated with get in on something like that? You know who we are, and what we do. I'm not expecting that much...but dang! We can use whatever we get! I'm not much of a cook, unless I put my mind to it...then I rock! I will supply cakes...cookies...I'm not worth a crap at pies...

It is a United Way thing Alice. They do it up big at work every year. They have Hold 'em tournaments, bridge tournaments, 42 tournaments, softball, soccer, dunking booths - all kinds of things every year.

This year you can have your manager arrested and put in jail for $80. He can bond out for $115 or just sit it out. They also put in a 3 arrest limit. :( We have one out there who is as tight as they come. He won't pay the $115 I promise you. I just wish that jail cell was out in the sun!

They often auction cakes down there at the sale barn too. I bought one for $45 last year from some group and just told the ring man to sell it again. Several more bought it and did the same. THe ring man finally bought it and told the lady to bring a piece to everyone who had bid on it.

There was a youngster in front of me with his eye on my cake so I asked his grandmother if he could have it and she said something like, "He'd love it." I wanted that piece of cake. But I just couldn't eat it in front of that kid.
