We live in a slightly reomte area with not many yard lights showing. As well we have a pretty tough hill to pull when slippery, over the years we have had quite an assortment of people walk in that we have sheltered and helped out one way or another. I have since quit going out with the truck or tractor to pull out of ditch or up the hill as since we burn farm fuel in both we are not legal to do work on the road according to Dept. of Highways and if we had problems or were hit by another vehicle on the road being a good Samaritan wouldn't probably help and we would have no insurance. Now I will give them shelter and let them phone a tow truck or Highways.

We've had over six inches of snow since this morning. There's a nasty snowy chunk of weather just stalled over us. And it just won't move. It's like the Munsters, when they had a rain cloud over their yard that no one else had. Fifty miles east the sky is clear and the roads are dry.

Highway is closed, so I guess we're next eh? We made an emergency run to town this afternoon with the truck. Thought about going tomorrow, but if the wind gets up after all this fluffy snow it's going to be a lot worse. This just may turn out to be quite the winter.
