Had a bucker get bred out of season and she calved yesterday. Let her mother it then brought it inside for the night. It has the porch pretty much demolished-I found some frozen colostrum in the bottom of the deepfreeze so we got that into it. Kind of a walk down memory lane lol. Ty is quicker than me so he can take it back out to the cow today.

If you're like some others you will forget all about the trials and tribulations next fall when that calf weighs 700 lbs.

NOPE!!! She's going on a truck with the other Brahmer's as soon as the weather breaks. My last set of winter calves scaled off at 798 shrunk on August 15 of that year but still won't ever do it again. I think we saved this ones big floppy ears though.

Well that little bucker is a tough son a gun-srtill hanging in there-she's a pretty good Brangus cow he's on-I don't think she's lived a day with less than -35 windchill. Still waiting on warm enough weather to get those cattle moved to their new home.
