OT, one man's observation.....mine

We spoke by phone one night, I believe it was late last year though it could have been earlier this year. Don't recall, and it doesn't really matter.

In that conversation you claimed to me that you were "really quite conservative".

Now, I tend to take a man at his word, but your words and your actions don't match up.

Your current thread about Romney being a speculator and not a businessman is an excellent example.

My response, when looking at the alternative....Barack Obama....would be.....WHO GIVES A FAT RAT'S ASS if he's a speculator or a businessman?
Is he as qualified as Obama, or better qualified to be President of the United States or not? I think he's far more qualified and brings far more experience to the table than Obama did 4 years ago.

Aside from a speech at the previous donk convention, what had Obama actually done in his life to warrant a shot at the Presidency? And what's he done since to warrant 4 more years?

Four years ago you searched the net to find every piece of crap article you could to sling mud at McCain. Your position on Obama? well, he got a pass.

Now, if I were a cynic, which I'm not, I'd either have to conclude you're a lying rat bastard when you tell us you're really quite conservative or you're just another internet troll.

I'll leave it up to you to decide if a response is warranted.

I'm kind of fitting in with a growing bunch of the population that don't think either one will do anything of much good for the country....I didn't vote for either of them...

No One Thinks The Next President Will Make Their Life Better

Support for both Obama and Romney goes up and down, but a new survey finds that neither one is inspiring much hope for making our lives or our society better.

A guess about the presidential debate tonight: Barring a gaffe, in which one candidate says what they actually believe, neither Romney nor Obama will say anything of true substance; they will not go beyond platitudes about their platforms and generalizations about their plans. Clearly, the debates have a lot of potential to shift the tenor of the race, but that is mostly cosmetic. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson says that the election represents a choice between Coke and Pepsi--two essentially identical choices. And polling data supports him: voters don’t think either candidate offers any sort of meaningful change to their lives.

That’s the finding from a survey completed by Havas Media (home of Co.Exist contributor Umair Haque) after the last debate; they’ll do another round after tonight. Respondents answered questions about the candidates’ ability to help society as a whole and them as an individual. The results don’t speak well to how either candidate is connecting with voters, and show how little faith voters have in politicians’ abilities to improve society.

Have ya noticed that getting "old neither-one-will-do-anything-of-much-good-for-the-country" to say a negative word about Obama (or any other donk for that matter) is almost impossible? He'd rather swallow a bad clam.

And while the old windbag has every right to post his dribble here, I personally don't care to have someone pissing down the back of my neck while telling me it's raining.

I for one am sick of this "neither one is worth a damn" stupidity!!!!!
If you feel that way then get politically active, attend conventions, FIND a candidate that is worth a damn, support them with your money and your vote, and you effort, haul someone to the voting booth, hang a sign, do something other than sit and bitch and bellyache.

cowman- I have a candidate and already voted for him.... He's just not one of the two "Coke or Pepsi" same-o same-o choices....

And I have been trying to inform folks that they do have a 3rd choice:

You're a Damn Liberal Democrat & you know it ,otherwise you would slam Oblamea once in awhile, because God knows he deserves it . The boss cow in my small herd would do a better job leading this country than This sorry ass has.

look at it, ot makes a claim of who he voted for, but look at his actions. He will not condemn obama for his actions and ot is a proven constant liar. So when he says who he votes for, are you gonna believe him or look at his actions.
As far as it goes I could care less who he voted for, it isn't the first thing Wasted in Valley County

You know, I could think of someone to run, head cowboy on a high rep angus ranch in Nebraska, been broke a couple of times, knows how to manage, how to work, how to handle money, every one knows him, his ideas would be good for the country,
Does me bragging on him, or anything else make him a candidate?? Nope, has to have a following from all corners of the electorate, not just me saying how good he is.

Some one is always talking about an etch-a-sketch, maybe if someone took all the filings out of say a 1000 of them, put them in a micro-wave, hit high for an hour, and used them for transplant material, the I Q might go up
