Announced that the US Dept. of Agriculture granted a 18 million low interest loan from our US senator thur Obama intrastructor plan. This money is to add another addition from our county hospital. This is a LOW interset loan that no one asked for. Who has to pay for it..we do....and btw the way they took money from the department of agriculture to build this 18 million hospital addition. We can not keep our 100 bed hosptail full as it is now. They just finished a addition two years ago.

Everybody in town thinks this is just like getting a new credit card but loans have to payed off someway..I cannot understand. Its a small community and is to be the largest goverment building project ever in this town.
Why can not the Department of Agriculture improve the Ag sector of these comminiuty by improving water and wind damage. Livestock, facilities, irrigation facalities or livestock improvements.

But you MUST make room for the vast numbers of people that will be added to the Medicaid rolls as dictated by ObamaCare.

Don't you understand? Government money is not really property of the taxpayer.

It belongs to the politicians to do what they want at will.

The current Socialist manifesto will not be satisfied until you send all of your money to them and allow them to return to you what they feel you need to live on.

You got to have food to be alive and healthy.

Sometimes I wonder whether you even read what is posted. The hospital was expanded 2 years ago and is not being utilized to it's full extent at present.

Over building infrastructure does not help the situation at all. By the time this new "addition" will be needed, it will possibly be time to retrofit/renovate, which in some cases can cost almost as much as the initial construction.

And the current admin will try and make you feel it is in your best interest, just as this immediately above post does.

But in all actuality, it is an asset grab to redistribute the wealth and the fortunes of those who worked/works hard and made/makes good decisions.

that's ok,, they are building a new school to the north of us,, the local taxpayers found out it they have to vote for bonds to finish paying for it..

and to top it off even after being forced to take on the debt.. when the school is finished, it will still need furnishings, heating and A/C systems installed and will have to be staffed...

the ed board is looking to see if it can be leased out as offices or some other use as they can't afford to finish it, let alone staff it....

and we are getting runway extensions.. across a swamp.... so large international flights can land here... not bad for an airport with about a dozen single engine private planes... and NO commuter service..

I guess we will have to rebuild the old tower now...

Great point Steve,
As I look at our little 18 million deal here. I see it as tax payers money got the ear mark the USDA for Bareback and our US Senator to give us a LOAN to pay for the hospital 2nd addition and then we are going to pay this back from taxes and interest on top from more forced taxes
Double taxes with interest from a loan no one wanted.
