Passin Thru....

I heard on the news last night that your community of Holly was decimated by a tornado. I sure hope you and your family are all safe.

Please know that you, your family, and community are in our thoughts and prayers.

Please be safe

Everything is shaping up. The saddest is the young woman who dies and left two small children and a husbandCleanup is well underway, heck of way to start a beautification project. Been in town most of the last two days. I'll bet in two months you wouldn't know the town.
Some thoughts
Newsmen can be a pain in the butt
Heck of a way to have a reunion with friends, former clasmates and family.
You can work harder than you think you can.
High levels of Red Cross and Salvation Army need to get off their high horse. When they turn away donations, it is them and not the community.
Cops can be "looky loos"
Small towns can have traffic jams.
When someone tells you they spent an hour gettin across town, believe them.
FEMA likes to look important in their FEMA jackets.
"Disasters" only occur in Louisiana

All the " lookers" can be a pain. We had a HUGE tornado pass right down our county road about 15 yrs ago. Destroyed 13 poultry houses, we had chickens hanging from trees like chirstmas bulbs!!

AND...we have BMW's and LEXUS' and BENZ cars---all gawkers--- up and down our so called ' blocked' road. I had had enough of it and took to chuckin' dead chickens at all the lookers and gawkers!!

The Sheriff told me to quit or he'd have to lock me up...I told him to keep the road blocked instead of standing around and waving trying to get votes!

He never blocked the road and I never stopped chuckin' birds that day!!

Hope all is well with you and yours PT...patience is the rule of game in an ordeal like this. I know the tornado scene well as I've had to deal with the same situation. Take care.

part of me just HAS to like you, the way you handle yourself in a situation like that.....but then there is your odd view of the world to bring me back to reality

PT:

I'm glad you're safe and sound. Sorry to hear this is the way your area had to start the beautification project.

We'll continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Cheers---
