We are having our first Production Sale March 19th and thought I would share some pictures of a bull we like. Axtell Gold 8308. He had a weight of 1,126 ADJ YW and had a 14.08 REA. His sire is the older bull pictured below 8308.

Looks pretty good Brian. We don't need to buy any bulls this year as we kept a couple of our own, but he does look interesting. I really like his pedigree.

Goodluck on your sale!

Look real good AX. The younger model doesn't look like he's had alot of groceries in him, but he's still full bodied and fleshy. How much of a ration are your sale bulls on?

Purecountry - He is receiving about 8-8.5 lbs. of 12% roasted grain ration consisting of corn/soybeans/miscro-nutrients/cottonseed hulls/shredded beats and other goodies. They are getting free choice CRP Grass hay and Millet hay as well. His Scrotal measured 35.

Are you selling semen out of any other of your reference sires but Gambler? I liked the looks of Bando Chf, does he go back to the original Heavenly?

Bando Chief was a good heifer bull. Not a lot of performance, but we never pulled a calf in seven years of use. We have semen for sale on five good old Boot Jack bred bulls, but not Bando Chf. He goes back to Heavenly on the top side and is actually double bred Tehama Bando 155 on the cow side. We still have his mother and she is 13.
