Started out last week, rained Wed night, snowed Thursday, wet, heavy snow. Had to feed (and still have to) weaned calves with the tractor, top lot waaay too muddy.

Took the 6 wheeler out to start fixing fence, the elk pretty much destroyed the fence, we decided we're tired of rebuilding every year, sw is rolling up the wire to make it a larger pasture. It was 3 wire fence, top and bottom hot, I took off the insulators and pulled up the posts. Worked on it Thurs & Fri.

We moved cows into this larger pasture on Saturday. It took aaaalllllllll daaaaaaay!

We did this on the 6 wheeler and feed truck, storm comin' in, got a little wet and verrrrry cold!

Yesterday (Tues) was gorgeous, went to start fencing section 23. Got on top, pics of the old burn which occurred in Sept, 1984. Notice no trees have grown back, the tops of the hills used to be covered by them. Must have been an awesomely hot fire!

Another view of the old burn, plus you can see almost forever!

A strange rock by the fence. Looks like someone put it there!!!

Still on top, looking at three buttes.

Pretty, pretty flower!

Headed for home, tall rock cliffs. Part of our fence IS rock cliffs. It's a pain to have to check at the base, then go to the top...fencing isn't all that glorious here...

Signature rock, some early 1900's.

Another angle

On top of rock cliff looking down (I got a little dizzy!)

3-4 years ago, had a big fire, burned up 1200 acres, we call it the "new burn". Here's a picture of it.

Tonight it was thundering, lightning - bolts hitting the ground. I pray it is wet enough not to burn...

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it..... :D
