Class Warrior And Major OWS Supporter Nancy Pelosi Spending $250 a Week On Her Hair…

Must be nice.

(Roll Call) — Looming government shutdowns, confidence-shaking debt limit standoffs and divisive payroll tax melees may rattle rank-and-file Members. But absolutely nothing stops the impeccably coiffed House Minority Leader from tending to her famous 'do.

California Democrat Nancy Pelosi starts each and every morning with a quick trip to her daily hair appointment at the Four Seasons Salon, George.

Pelosi's hair stylist dished to HOH about her routine trips, which occur five days a week and consist of blow-drying and styling. Occasional splurges include color, highlights and a trim. The Four Seasons, however, claimed no responsibility for the shorter cut she debuted a few months back.

From the George at the Four Seasons Salon website:

So a conservative estimate of $50/day X 5 = $250/week and over 52 weeks comes out to $13,000 a year!

I'm with you Steve a paper bag would be a much better idea then we would not have to see her hair or what is under it. But just think of how many meals her hairdo budget could provide if she really cared about the poor as much as she claimes to.

But it's her money to do with as she pleases. Maybe she does give , who knows.

Are you saying that we need to be come a more social society and everyone should be equal?

If everyone can't have ' it' then no one can?

it seems it was just a post yesterday from a left leaning poster that criticized CEO salaries and fat cat bankers taking money from the work force.. (a large source of the Pelosi money)
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's wealth grows 62% to $35.2M

What recession?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's net worth skyrocketed 62% last year, to a jaw-dropping $35.2 million, according to financial disclosure forms released Wednesday.

Pelosi's drastic growth, from an initial $21.7 million in 2009, is attributed to recent stock gains
no wealth gap there...

between that and outrageous spending budgets in Dc for the congressional offices (taxpayer funded)
All rank-and-file members of Congress received salaries of $174,000 last year. As speaker last year, Pelosi was paid $223,500 and House and Senate majority and minority leaders garnered $193,400.

maybe the states should pick up the staffing cost of it's representatives?

either way... Why should a working class tax payer be forced by law to pay taxes so she can live the life of wealth, luxury, and excess?

Great idea- if we quit paying the salaries of the millionaires in Congress- or kicked them out- it would rid us of half of all Congress...

Half of Congress Enjoys Millionaire Status, Study Shows

Talk about the 1 percent.

A new study shows about half the lawmakers in Congress are millionaires, and that their net worth has risen steadily since 2008 despite the financial crash.

The analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics found that 250 members of Congress have an estimated net worth of at least $1 million. Though some members of Congress have tried to cozy up to the Occupy Wall Street protests and their message of representing 99 percent of America, assets of more than $1 million would easily put those lawmakers in the top 1 percent.

And as it turns out, wealth knows no party.

According to the report, 37 Senate Democrats and 30 Senate Republicans are worth more than $1 million. In the House, 110 Republicans and 73 Democrats enjoy the same status.

The Senate is more flush with funds than the House. In the upper chamber, the median net worth of a senator is $2.63 million. For a House member, it's about $757,000. Those figures are up 16 and 17 percent, respectively, from 2008.

The center crunched the numbers for each member of Congress by examining his or her publicly released assets and liabilities, then calculating the average between his or her minimum and maximum estimated worth.

As several previous tallies have shown, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., came out as the wealthiest member in Congress -- with an average net worth of $448 million. Close behind were Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas; Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.; Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va.; and Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis.

I'm pretty da*n sure that the money she is asking others to pay in taxes so she can hand it out to buy votes is not hers, but it sure doesn't stop her from spending it as fast as she can.

Maybe she should have taken her hairdo budget and paid to rebuild the mouse habitat in California that she got tax payers money for or maybe she could have taken all the gang members that wanted their tatoos removed down to a clinic and paid out her own pocket instead of asking broke tax payers to pay to have it done.

Funny thing with you libs is your money is yours but everyone elses is free for the taking to pay for your little vote buying agendas.

But oldtimer you claim not to believe anything from Fox yet you paste your thoughts based on a Fox news report!!!!

Hypocrite:wink:

Liberals don't want to support their agenda's they want to force you to support their agenda's. :???: :?

Liberals forcing other's to pay for their agenda through forced taxation since 1913. :?

I would gladly pay for a paper bag for pislosi.. but still feel it is a waste of money for daily trips to the beauty salon

a bag is just more effective use of scarce resources..

but if you liberals want to defend a super rich millionaire who has made millions off the backs of the working poor.. spend money on excesses.. then I wonder where your ideals are?

Starkist tuna's headquarters is located in SF, which happens to be Pelosi's home district, which (Starkist) is owned by Del Monte Foods, and is a heavy contributor to Pelosi's campaigns. Starkist
is the major employer in America Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan workforce. Paul Pelosi, Nancy's husband, owns $17 million dollars in Starkist stock........hmmm.......

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Nancy Pelosi had the Island exempted from the increase so Del Monte (remember them?) would not have to pay higher wages to it's slave force. This in turn would make Del Monte products less expensive than that of it's competitors...etc....etc....etc. Get the picture here?

When the bailout bill was past (actually several by now), Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an "economic development credit in America Samoa"

care to bet the name of the company who benefited the most from that $33 million? it wasn't the slave labor that Pisslusi is getting rich from...
