im not doing it by myself mom is out there with me, and she has broken a few horses in her life time. lol

Good point, Bruce. I've seen it happen.

And the hock deal, lots of horses in the south have that problem
at 4-6 years of age and they wind up having to inject them to
use them in competition.

Hard to help someone on a computer. I'd like her to get some

I realize that, I guess what I'm trying to say is that masking his attitude by making him tired is just that... temporarily masking what's still there. You gotta get his respect and be the boss, and there are hundreds of ways of doing that without just piling on and hoping for the best. Just do some research and find something you like and try it. There is a trainer I know named Doug Mills that has a video series on a method he calls Training Thru Trust. He is far from a 'horse whisperer', but is among the best horse trainers in N. America.
