OMG,the crap you believe Mogal...pure humor      :roll:MoGal said:mmmm..... did you ever stop to think that in order to bring about the North American Union (by 2011) they have to integrate both countries laws, etc..... we have to have nationalized health care and now employee mandated vacations, and who knows what else..... and probably Mexico will piggyback on USA since we already provide social security and government benefits to the illegals.
Last week I saw a Mannafest program and Perry said he knew a fella who was a fisherman in Canada and made good money but he told him, he took home 15% of his income after all the taxes had been taken out..... get ready for what is coming to the USA
MsSage said:hmmmm ok I have heard how much more you pay in canada as well. So after the snippy remark from Mrs Greg I decided to do a search. This is what I found
HAILS BELLS the whole chart wont copy. here is the link and you can plug in any amount I did $20,000 and the highest amount would be to Manit. & Quebec $2,766.
The lowest is Alberta $1807
Nunav $1819
You double the amount to $40,000 and it goes to
Maint $8183 & Quebec $8614
lowest is Nunav. $ 5735
Alberta $6888
Thats more than double the tax amount
This is not a "state run" site so it might be off a tad

Seems if your in the lowest bracket you keep most of your money but once you start to get to a comfortable level taxes more than double some quadruple.
Canadians remember we have a very biased MSM (main stream media) they will only report what fits into their agenda and put the spin they want on it. Right now it is making Canada look bad. So there is going to be alot of misinformation being broadcasted. Dont get upset with us, how about showing us the facts then we can make an informed opionion.
The climate is about pitting one group against another. It goes back to United we stand, divided we fall.

You said it, Mike!
But I'd take it a step farther - if your employer doesn't provide a safe workplace, pay overtime, or provide equal pay for equal work regardless of sex or race, go work somewhere else!
The government has no business putting regulations on employers.
People had it much better during the early years of the industrial revolution before unions and the government started meddling in the affairs of plutocratic capitalists!
When will the Democrats learn?
Do you have any clue how many times I've tried talking to Mogal about her extremely biased and WRONG info, only for her to come back with more wrong and biased material. I live here,I know there's NO WAY we only take home 15% of our income...who the h3ll would work if that were true :???:MsSage said:hmmmm ok I have heard how much more you pay in canada as well. Your media is VERY biased when it comes to reporting the truth on Canada but if I try and straighten out facts seems some chose not to believe. Mogals a prime candidate for that...Snippy yup, tired of it!

I agree that 15% does not sound logical.
I think we would all be surprised how much money actually goes to taxes if we figured all things. I imagine rather you are in Canada or the U.S. the bring home pay is more around 40% not 15%.
If you look at the tax bracket you pay right of the top say 15% to 30% then look at things like gasoline that over here have around 25% tax on it depending on price per gallon. Then every time you buy something you pay say 8% sales tax. Then you have surcharges and line charges on everything from phones to utilities.
When it is all said and done one way or another the Government gets more of our money than we do.
I can only assume it is just as bad in Canada unless the stereotypical view of higher taxes in Canada than the U.S. are untrue?
In reality I would estimate most of us get about 40% of what we make instead of 15% as stated in MoGal's post!
When all's said and done I think your pretty close to the mark at 40%. Sages post where Alberta's tax's were lower then the other provinces is probably because of at this very minute we don't pay a PST,I believe we're the only province that doesn't.aplusmnt said:Mrs.Greg said:Do you have any clue how many times I've tried talking to Mogal about her extremely biased and WRONG info, only for her to come back with more wrong and biased material.
