Painting a pipe fence?

We used and old sock with a plastic bag inside of it and it worked better than the minit. The pipe fence I builded is entrance to our house so it had to look nice or the little lady would want me to do it over. I will take some pic. of it and post them Wednesday. It turned out pretty nice.
