paper or plastic ??

The world is just getting too complex for me. They even mess me up every time I go to the grocery store. You would think they could settle on something themselves but this sudden "Paper or Plastic?" every time I check out just knocks me for a loop.

I bought some of those cloth re-usable bags to avoid looking confused, but never remember to take them in with me.

Now I toss it back to them. When they ask me, "Paper or Plastic?" I just say, "Doesn't matter to me. I am bi-sacksual." Then it's their turn to stare at me with a blank look.

We have to make a different choice. Here they ask "Do you need a bag?" If you do, you usually get charged 5 cents. I just bring my own cloth bags. It works as long as you take them back and put them in the car as soon as you unload the groceries. Getting into that habit took me a long time though, but I did it... finally.

You guys must shop more frequently.....or have fewer people to feed! I would need a dozen bags for my grocery shopping.....and I'm tempted to make a bunch of them because they would be easier to carry and less likely to break open! We have loved the guests this summer, tho, so not really complaining.

It's amazing how much stuff will fit into a cloth bag. One bag can replace at least four plastic ones. They can get heavy though! :D And it's so nice not to have to deal with all those plastic bags after you get home too.
