Parted-at-birth twins 'married'

Parted-at-birth twins 'married'

For years I have been concerned and argued that these clinics place no moral value on the acts they commit.

Sure it's nice that people donate eggs..sperm.. and most doners demand thier privacy...

but what happens years later when the offspring meet?..

A clinic operates in a small area... the donated eggs and sperm are used locally.. it is a good likelyhood that siblings will meet..

What are fertility clinics doing to prevent this from happening?

""And if you don't know you are biologically related to someone, you may become attracted to them and tragedies like this may occur.""

The former Liberal Democrat MP raised the couple's case during a House of Lords debate on the Human Fertility and Embryology Bill in December.

"But when we are unaware of that relationship, we are naturally drawn to people who are quite similar to ourselves.

"And of course there is unlikely to be anyone more similar to any individual than their sibling."

the sibling were from an adoption, but it hightens the moral complication of the blind or secret donations of eggs, embryos and sperm..

From an "fertility site"..
You also need to consider if you would feel comfortable donating to more than one couple. Although this type of donation is rare, you need to think about the implications of full genetic siblings being raised in several households.

See. If Bush would allow scientists to use the unwanted embryos for stem cell research, nothing like this would happen! Oh, wait. This happened in England? Could there possibly be different rules in place there as compared to here?

the other link is from the US...

since when does location have to do with moral values???

What I really see from your lack of a response on the subject is that you don't have a response that could defend liberal baby making factories...

I think it is wrong to make, donate and distribute human eggs, sperm and embryos..
and I think it was even more wrong to allow siblings to be adopted to seperate families..

Another stand for Republicans to take: make it illegal for young couples to use medical technology to have a family. That should make the party even more popular.

I'm pretty sure the Catholic church is against any artificial means of conception. Does anyone know about the Baptists? Just thinking about Huckabee.........

who said illegal... I said wrong....

I think the law should require a data base funded by the baby factories to allow the child to have access to donor family historical, DNA and sibling data at a time when they need it...

already their system has proved to have implications on society... so require those who are profiting to fund a solution...
