Rule brings torrent of passports
By The Associated Press

MISSOULA - Beginning Tuesday, all U.S. citizens need a passport if they travel outside the country by air. That includes travel to Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean.

"Right now, it's only for air travel, but it's going to be for land and sea by next year, so we're just advising everybody to go ahead and get a passport," said Pam Smith of Missoula's Global Travel. "It just makes everything go a whole lot easier."

The immediate changes affect every traveler, including children.

Yup, you can't even get into the passport offices at the moment they are sooo full here. I'm waiting until the crazyness stops before I brave the crowds and get mine.

Man... We all need to go do that. Never know when we are going to need passports with the friends that we have living overseas. More likely than not never but with the waits... Might as wel get it over with.. Who knows, maybe the fam and I will take a trip north one of these years.. Haven't been to Canada for years..

ohh OT i know you want to come to CANADA, you just dont want to admit it

Been up there many times- always enjoyed it....But I know several that were there on 9/11 that couldn't get home for weeks-- and that would be my luck, I'd get to a foreign country and something would happen and they wouldn't let me go home  :( .....

Still some parts of the States I want to see before I worry about going to any foreign places- guess I ain't much of a sophisticate....

I applied for one for my upcoming trip to Toronto.
The passport was $67.00. I chose to expidite it, which was
another $60.

The good part is that it lasts for 10 years.

Murphy's Law is alive and well around here. I just hope I get it
in time even paying the extra money.

I want to go see the harness racing!!

Ohhhhh, Soapweed, where do you come up with that stuff?
Or is it jigs rubbing off on you.
TOOOO FUNNNNNNY!!!!

I'll have to ask MLR, if Woodbine is the name of the track. Not being
familiar with anything there, the names don't mean anything to me. If I was told, I don't remember the name.

I'll ask about the casino as well, Dale K. Do you recommend it?
