Does anyone know of a cover for an iPhone that doesn't make it twice the size? I really like the phone but like to carry it in my pocket can't find a decent cover that is comfortable and doesn't make me look like I'm packing a brick in my pants. :D Also have a hard time hearing with the cover that I tried on it. I have already killed one iPhone by dropping it so need to do something different. [/list]

With the cover on it is hard to get in your pocket. I hate those clips to hang on your pants. The covers I looked at all seemed big, not to mention ugly. I wonder if it ever crossed their mind to just build it more rugged in the first place. I really haven't seen a way to solve the bulkiness problem.

A what phone?

Our house still has rotary dial - no reliable cell coverage here

We are all still living in the 50's on this place LOL

Best to all

My wife has a little sleeve like cover that she has on hers.....but for me i need the otter box just for the simple face i need the protection. I would say if you are careful with it the smaller case would be fine but other then that get the heavy dutie on and wear baggey pants

I have an Otter Box Commuter Series and it has been through everything and seems to be holding up. It dosent make the phone that much bigger.

I think my next phone is gonna be the Motorola Razr Maxx HD.

I bought my wife an ipad and I can't even turn it on. A fan of Apple I am not. Left handed way of doing things....

Do a search for "lifeproof" cases. I don't have one, but a few friends do and they have nothing but good things to say. They're water and dust proof plus, the case is smooth making it easier to slip in and out of your pocket. I will warn you they are pricey.

I have to agree 100% with your view on Apple (except the "left handed" part   )
I'm pretty interested in the new BB10 phones that hit the shelves today in Canada.

I have the camo one. just didn't want some of the flashy colors. With my fingers and the rubber cover over the box I don't drop it much

I spent the better half of 2 days on the phone with Verizon. My phone would freeze up, its a Casio Comando. Long story short, they told me it is the last rough service phone they sold, and I better not update for quite sometime, as the newer phones just can't take the dust, drops, water, and overall abuse. They sent me a new phone, and this one hasn't acted up one time. I love it, but it is only capable of 3G, which is fine, because most of the time we have 1X.

I just have a Pantech flip phone no internet or the like but it's tough and durable and small.Carry it in my front pant pocket. Cost $50 to much time and money spent on fancy phones that in reality knowone needs anyhow.

You guys are probably the ones that said you would never have a computer or mess around with the Internet either and yet here we are on ranchers.net. Lol. Just teasing. I know these phones aren't for everybody but I love mine just wish it wasn't like a dozen eggs. I had a blackberry for two years and still didn't know how it fully worked. After having a iPhone for ten miniutes you can pretty much find everything you need on it. I don't think I could go back to not having a smart phone after having this one. I used to think apps were worthless but now with a better phone I love them.

You ain't kiddin'! 10 years ago I said I could get through life without a computer and guess what!

But when I see how badly some people are addicted to their iphones or crackberrys, I'm pretty content to have a phone that just makes/takes calls and sends text messages plus a few pics -

oh wait.......

I don't think you can just get a phone anymore through Verizon. Anyway that is what they told me the other day.

Best phone on the market is the I phone. I have a otterbox that does make the phone bigger but not awhole lot. When I bought the phone the gave me a belkin cover. Doesn't cover the screen but does have a hard back case. Going to use the otterbox more during the summer in and out of tractors more. Just going to keep the phone in the pickup more often than I did before.
