Feeding cake with 5000 units of Vitamin A added. Four pounds of cake gives the same dose as 4 cc's in vaccination form. We give two
pounds per head one day, and two pounds per head again the next day. This is a more user-friendly method of administiring an extra jolt
of Vitamin A right before calving time begins.

Yankeeingenuity800x600.jpg

Yankee ingenuity. My dad bought this old frame at an auction. It had a picture of someone else's great grandparents in it, but he
wanted to put his own ancestors in the frame. He combined two pictures, with backgrounds that were different. This was not a problem
with a generous application of pink paint. :)

On a cool night. This Yankee ingenuity was implemented by my wife, Peach, who was born in Alabama. Maybe there is also such a thing
as Confederate ingenuity? :???: :?

Looking good over there. I like Peaches idea of the little jacket, such a fashion statement! We have seen several bald eagles around here too, so it must be calving season, though I have never seen one on a fencepost, they always seem to be in the trees. Great pictures as always..stay warm!

Earlier this winter, I saw a bald eagle sitting on a post like that. It was along the highway and not worried about traffic, as he sat there like a statue as I passed by. A couple days later I saw another one about ten miles south of the first one, along the same highway. This one was again sitting on a fence post watching me as I traveled by. We seldom see bald eagles here, so I wondered if it could be the same bird. Soapy's eagle would have been approximately equidistant between my two sightings.
