Photos of our breeding bulls

Here are the bulls we will be turning out to breed with this summer. I added photos of a few of their dams or sisters, so you can see the females we are trying to produce. We feel that a bull will have daughters that resemble the bulls dam and maternal family.

Never weighed them, so I don't know. We want them to be deep ribbed, easy fleshing, long bodied, breed back, have a good udder and feet, all while raising a good calf until they are old.

If I were you BRG, I'd hide those scrubs as far west and in the bush as I could find a place that would take them. :p

Per, I think you and I need to go on a road trip next February. :D

That could be arranged. I call January and February "Education" time.

I'm guessing 1600lbs+ on the first one? No idea on the last one, my eyes are still reeling from the visual assault of the ultra green background. Maybe next time you could post a "graphic color" warning on the post

I'll put my first dollar in the bull vacation piggy bank tonight. Two dollars tommorow, three the next....... maybe will have enough by next year.
Wonder if our loonie will be a buck and a quarter US like the experts are predicting?

Thanks for the compliments. Very much appreciated!

You guys are more than welcome to come, we would love it. But I have to warn ya, we usually pick the coldest day in February for the sale, but we will have a bottle of self warmer in case you get to cold.

I've been at Lloydminster when it's -41 and a little prairie breeze blowing. The barn was pretty foggy inside.

A couple years ago, it was -20 Fahrenheit the morning of, we cranked the heaters up and at about 10:30 the ceiling started to drip and it got everything soaked. The auctioneer was a little nervous about his system. I think we will be insulating the barn this summer though. Should be alot nicer inside at least.
