My young McCallum cow dog King still seems to think laying under the horse is a good idea

Great pictures!! Why have you not entered the photo contest yet?

Thank you FH

I must admit that I have not taken the time to follow the Ranchers photo contest. I just checked it out and I probably have a candidate for the ugly vehicle photo if I can find it.

How would a cow learn how to swim in Hanna? And grass up to your eyeballs. 8) I suppose you will expect that every year now.

King seems to insist, here he was trying to take shelter under Angela's horse from a few drops of rain while we were pairing up after going through two gates.

A few years back I had a dog that would hang-out under my horse - a trick she learn when I was working some SNUFFIE Angus cows...

Nice Photos!

That's always fun! Just on Wednesday we were moving pairs and a rather protective cow came at King and he took cover under my little bay mare, and the cow kept coming. My little bay mare didn't really appreciate that cow trying to go under her. Of course I had a cell phone in my hand at the time and so it was a little exciting for a few seconds!

And that is one reason, my friends, why I choose not to use cow dogs. :)
